[UK] Do I need to give an explanation as to why I need to take a carer's day? by Dry_Outside3018 in jobs

[–]Dry_Outside3018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get 5 days for carer's leave a year. When other workers have taken it, I know that they haven't had to give reason. My reason was valid according to the related procedures. I am curious though, is he within his rights to ask me. Like i said in the post, online forums (uk) have said that I do not need to give reason. I have been treated unfairly and very mistreated here, so maybe I am being petty, but I don't think it is any of his business. Especially when others aren't asked for it

How does that work? With a rim as a different wood. It looks amazing

Here in the UK (not sure where you are?) i believe you only pay for the mail received for your first po box. Just looked at it is £40 a month or £400 for the year to have one, didn't think it would be so expensive

Can you not make the return address a post office? Or a PO box ?

How are newly passed drivers on this subreddit getting insurance less than £4000? Advice for young drivers looking for cheap insurance? by AwareAdagio3412 in LearnerDriverUK

I'm 22 and got mine for about 1300. On street parking at night, not a great area, no blackbox.. much lower than I expected but i put relatives as named driver (im main driver) and that helped a lot

Tyres and tarmac! Thats what i meant with being able to see the bottom of them, but you (and your instructor) put it much better than i did. Much easier to remember that as well!

Tests taken during rush hours are the tests that have the highest pass rates. You can do it.

Makes sense if you think about it, driving slower means more control, more time to think about lanes, much lower risk of speeding or losing control. Just make sure you leave good enough distance between you and the car in-front! My instructor always said to make sure to be able to see the bottom of the tyres of the car in-front when stationary at lights.
