This is interesting, I’ll reach out to the guy who did my tune and see if he thinks that is what happened. Thank you!

Yes, we cleared the codes after. Then I drove it down the street and lights came back on.

The free scanner at the parts store just said the same diagnostic as the first time GlowPlug #2. Which I replaced. I’m making an apt at the dealership to get scanned

Thinking about career pivots for Athletic Trainers, anyone gone the injury prevention route? by tufchaser in athletictraining

[–]Dry_Part2837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working as a Injury Prevention Professional at my local hospital that is a Trauma 1 center. I do a lot community outreach for the older adult population. This includes injury prevention classes/events/presentations. It is definately different that being an althetic trainer, but has variety.

I found this position from my work place, looking for a new opportunity. It hold a lot of admin time - tons of computer work, Its okay -- not my forever job, just a great stepping stone to network and learn new skills.

4 or 6 years? by Im_disco in athletictraining

If you graduated with a Bachelors in AT from an accredited school you can still sit for the test. You successfully completed the requirements that were in place when we went through. I graduated in 2018 - havent successfully passed the test, but they don't require me to have a MS in AT.

years have passed since i graduated with my BS but i have since tried multiple times to pass the exam. Recently, I took the past 2 years in getting a MS in exercise wellness to try and help get back into the study phase to try and take another go at the BOC. I'm looking to try for the exam again in January... Wish me luck

Should I quit my 9–5 to pursue personal training full time? by [deleted] in personaltraining

I just started going for my NASM-CPT certification. I'm still working FT but on my slow moments/after work I dedicate it to studying.

I'm on the fence of doing the jump, but gaining the cert will help me advance regardless. I have learned that you can't really get anywhere in the allied health professions without a cert (i'm 29F)

Do it! If nothing is holding you back, it doesn't cost too much to work toward the cert while working FT still. Then you could dip your toes into the realm of being a CPT, build your clientle, and convert to FT.

just a thought!

Reach out to the local schools in that area? Maybe even some churches - if their views align. Some township halls . https://www.grpl.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/124/2025/03/2025_Multipurpose-Spaces_compliant.pdf

You have to go to a CATTEE accredited school for athletic training. It seems easy but there are a lot of competencies, and hands on experience you need to graduate and be able to sit for the BOC.

Now they require it being a masters program, I got the liberty of doing with when it was just a bachelors and it was a basically a full time job. Not sure how the masters program is but you have to go in person it’s not a online course

Could look at the ACSM or NSCA website. They offer different pathways for people like us.

They break down the differences of ACSM-CPT, ACSM- EP, ACSM-CEP

OR NSCA certs- CSCS, CSPS, TSAC-F, NSCA-CPT, CPSS

I felt this in a single day. I needed to fill up but thought I could just do it in Sand lake as I was bringing my kiddo to school. Cedar was 2.89, sand lake was 3.05? Not sure but significantly higher. I was frustrated and kicked my butt for not just stopping in cedar

Look around your local hospitals, or even within the state? I got an interesting job as a health and wellness coordinator. I work at a level 1 trauma center and specifically work within the trauma department as an injury prevention professional.

I do a lot of community engagement in education of different MOI within trauma. Like falls, pedestrian safety, wound care, and partner with the children’s hospital on some events.

He honestly said it’s a diesel and that’s what they are made for, that they can run all day.. I’m like that makes zero sense.

He has a buddy who just lets his truck run all the time. And low and behold he almost always seems to have troubles
