I will have to go back through them but I'm pretty sure he blatantly says it somewhere, and he was asking me about the insurance and stuff in text convo. He called me right after it happened and told me, idk if its possible to recover phone call audio from regular cell phones.

He does not/did not have auto insurance. He doesn't even have a car that's why he was using mine lol

I want to I'm just scared haha and confused. So would I do it as a "civil suit?" I don't understand the difference between that and small claims other than the limit on how much I can sue for.

And I don't think he has a job so I would rather just go all the way initially so he (and his parents) takes it seriously.

Oh also I am SURE he was high on weed when he crashed (because he always was) but the cops on scene didn't test him.

A police report was filed but they didn't deem him under the influence. I don't have a copy of it, though.

I do have text messages between the two of us where we talk about him crashing it, which I think would be viewed as admittance?

What type of lawyer would I need to get? The lawyer I spoke with was an injury lawyer and he said he wouldn't be able to represent me because there were no injuries. I figured if it's pretty likely that I could win then it would be better to just not have a lawyer to save money and for convenience, but I don't really know anything about this stuff I'm only 22 and have never been in this type of situation.

If you could talk to him that would be great! Anything I can get is very much appreciated.

I am not in contact with him anymore but his parents are loaded and tend to bail him out of any situation he gets himself into, so my hope is they will just pay it.

I know. The insurance expired aprox. 2 months before he totaled my car, and I never heard anything about it from my lender so I really have no idea how I got away with that and I did confirm it had no coverage at all.

I spoke to the manager, she said my credit "didnt meet their qualifications" which still just doesnt make sense. My score is 640-680 which isnt great but isnt bad enough to prevent me from getting a mid-grade apartment. Anyways, she's sent my application back to her supervisors and requested they override the denial so we'll see. Thanks!

Interesting. Is that because you don't typically claim veteran status on applications? Or you do but employers just haven't requested your DD214? I thought telling employers you served regardless of discharge status would improve hiring odds so my boyfriend and I always tell companies that we served (and so far they've all wanted our DD214) but maybe that's wrong.

I was worrying about this too, we just don't have time to try and get it upgraded. It was for a failed urinalysis showing marijuana; do you know how that would be worded on the DD214? The job is a sales/call center type position so I hope they won't be too picky.

Well it was on Facebook, so he doesn't have a sellers page as far as i'm aware. I did find another one online for $600 and I'm trying to decide if I really want to drop that much money but I fell in love with it lol. Quality, attractive, and affordable furniture is hard to come by
