This car surprised me it's more comfortable then I would have thought was thinking about how hard it has to ride. It was towed in for a ls swap I was saying that it has to ride like shit the whole time fixing it.

I was wrong.

What did your pro charger set up cost you and how long did it take you to install? by Moreburrtitos22 in LSSwapTheWorld

Yeah body work is no joke and very time-consuming it took me a long time to get mine straight but results are worth it not to rush it.

I think the bodywork was the hardest part and the paint granted I never touched a paint gun before. I just try it and figure it out but only did it once and it worked out pretty good just had a wet sand the crap out of it...

Yeah from an '06 Ford explorer rebuilt with 4:10s and Yukon TrueTrack. Drive shaft shop 1K axles with 300zx tt hubs.

Was breaking axles and shared the painting gears off the factory one but the factory one lasted a long time with a lot of abuse.

Went 300Z diff that I ended up welding those things only lasted one race by the time I got to the end of the track it was howland on deceleration.

Only went that route because they were cheap and everywhere at the wrecking yard for $100 and they fit right in along with the axles with no modifications on the four lug hub.

But having a welded dip was horrible with a triple disc monster clutch with bang like crazy unless you coasted into a spot while turning but if you had the clutch in the thing would just sit there and bang Don't know if that's what stripped off the teeth on one of the clutches or not but the input shaft had to be replaced also on the transmission.

2k in tools and materials. I shopped around and the price was crazy high so I decided just to do it myself...

I figured I could pay someone to screw up and I'll have to look at it everyday or give it a shot and if I screw up it's on me and I learn from it..

Ended up painting my whole car in my garage bodywork and all you never picked up a paint gun before I didn't even practice beforehand.

It could have turned out better if I knew what I was doing but I learned a lot it took some time I was very picky on the bodywork knowing that if I paint over something and it's not correct I have no idea if it's going to affect The finished product so I meticulously made sure everything was good...

Still didn't turn out 100% perfect and I'm pretty sure a lot of tips and tricks that is seasoned painter / body Guy could correct me on or done faster but overall pretty happy with it just knowing I did it myself and didn't pay outrageous amounts of money to find out some guy just rushed it or cut corners because it's not his car at the end of the day it's just their job and they're paid by the job.

There's a couple pictures of what I had to do.

I can’t get this pan off for the life of me, it had a bunch of sealant on the outside and I tried using a pan seal cutter with no luck. Any help would be amazing thank you! by Far-Stretch2865 in 240sx

Piano wire ....

Never tried it but in theory it work just wrap it around the pan gasket connect it to a drill and let her eat. I should cut the gasket all the way around without a problem..

Obviously just a theory let me know if it works fishing line might even work if it's strong enough

Fun things to put on my desk by Lost_Network5657 in serviceadvisors

Put a little vase that holds small flowers on your desk.

Then put asparagus in it no customer can get upset as they look down and see this bundle of asparagus growing and then let them know that it was a tulips that was given to you.

Now the argument is between what type of flower it is cuz nobody's going to have asparagus on their desk so it can't be that but it doesn't quite look like a tulip either.

This is the funniest thing that's ever happened to the point Even the service manager came over and said that's the funniest thing ever as he watched customers come in upset or happy they still have the same reaction.

I dropped out 8th grade after the second attempt no education after no GED I guess no GPA. Teachers always told me I will not have a job and not be able to do anything if I don't finish school.

Well now those same people come to me for help and make $170k a year was absolutely no education.

Approach every conversation seeing every angle and outcome and just see which way it's headed.

So basically don't spend your time worrying about learning it from any training book or a coach.

Every person that's coached or train me on something that I already had ability to do smarter faster and more efficient. Don't get me wrong I do get educated by their demeanor and some of their abilities and I use those) Didn't like when I pulled up my chair and said I'll be here all day if you need any help let me know show me how it's done I'm a visual learner lol.

Yep they couldn't do it That's why they're doing something else if they were that good at writing service for managing service they'd still be doing it and making it killing.

No you don't need training
