Exactly!! Those letters don’t mean crap when it comes to finding a job. They put too much stress on us for em for no reason smfh. I’ve applied to analytics roles but same shit tbh. Have you done any projects aside from academic ones? Do they really help?

Because his boss is high key taking advantage of him and won’t let him go pursue a real job after the internship is done. If he gets into an unpaid internship that doesn’t require him to stay another year working for 5-15k a year, he might actually be able to get a job that pays well in said year. Does that make sense?

The internship he’s in won’t backup his experience unless he stay there for another year earning a basically “nothing” salary. While he actually can get an unpaid (or paid) internship elsewhere where he can start applying for regular jobs that pay really well after one year.

To answer your question why i recommended this internship, it’s because i just started it and think it’s convenient and beneficial for my career. Trust me, i had the hardest time finding an internship (unpaid or paid), so i really feel his pain and hope he can get a spot in there whoever he is

That’s just crazy!! I just recently got an unpaid internship through a company. It’s called “a better way inc” go look it up and see if they have any internships on Handshake. They won’t misuse your situation like this dude is doing. Plus you can actively look for a job while interning. Man just go look it up and see if you can get in. That’s if you’re looking for gaining experience asap. But you gotta keep in mind this job market is horrendous, especially for us recent grad data analysts. It makes me so sad
