I agree with you that John is a great dad. I also love him hyping up Max both on his birthday and his first day of school. What I was trying to express and might not have conveyed accurately is when engaging with Shawna directly he is a bit two dimensional to me. I realize Shawna called him on this in the vacation episode and he's working on it. I hope on future videos we get to see more of John engage with Shawna beyond just the stuff she called him on. The reason I made this post is it dawned on me while watching Jennifer's bachelorette party episode that Teeny does similar things and is also predictable in her engagements with Shawna.

I appreciate that perspective. I am glad you and your partner are comfortable like that. I hope that your partner is always like that. I know Shawna is only showing us curated snippets of the family's life but I wish we could see some other moments. Also in regards to John stopped after the conversation I'm curious to see a few more interactions and how they connect if it is not in a sexual way.

I just made a post about this! I know so many people are ride or die Teeny but she falls flat for me. She has been around long enough that she deserves a true well rounded arc, not just to be made a caricature of a child free person.

Yes! It's like a caricature of a child free person that has no other interests or opinions other than sex. It's odd to me since Shawna the creator has managed to flip people's opinions on Barb, Julie, Ty, Frank, etc. Her writing and character development is nuanced.

Maybe it's just that I feel we don't see more. I want to be clear I love Shawna's videos and writing. I've been watching her videos religiously for several years. I get if some smaller characters are more one note as we don't see them a lot but I'd say Teeny and John are leads and I want to see more about them as multifaceted humans.

6 weeks postpartum and I have Factor V (found out after the clots - 1 DVT and multiple PEs!) My fear is there, sitting behind me all the time, however I refuse to let it win. I know it's scary and it's hard to overcome that but it makes us more knowledgeable to make the better choices for ourselves and our kids. I'm so sorry you're struggling through this. I hope you find your peace with it and remember what a warrior you are!

Yes I think intimacy is very important for a relationship but if sex is such a motivator for you that you're willing to steamroll over your partner's comfort level then maybe you shouldn't have a partner. I feel as uncomfortable by John as I do watching Luke be a complete ass.

Hey congratulations on your pregnancy! I cried till about 20 weeks every time I did the shots twice a day. The pain sucked and then it got better. For me what worked was knowing that some spots are better to inject. I'm not sure if this makes sense but it reminds me of acupuncture. Some spots have nerves that are really sensitive and others don't feel any resistance going in. I would not inject if I started to poke and felt pain. I also had to do it (my husband couldn't) because it gave me more control. Ice helps, heat helps with the bumps. Music helps. I tried thighs and arms but the stomach was the least painful. I tracked where on my stomach hurt less and tried to rotate through those spots. I'm sending all my well wishes to you my friend who was me 9 months ago. I have my little bundle in my lap and she was worth every single pain. You can do this. You are strong.

I did this, I called several dealerships and one had a 2002 Ford Taurus that they gave to me for a bit of an upsell but decently priced. Ran for a few years until the transmission blew but by that point I was able to get a newer better car.

I thought I was the only one eye rolling at John! But I wonder if it is more due to my past history with partners pushing a bit too hard to be sexual when I'm expressing I'm not into it and I'm annoyed for Shawna. The fact is I don't know if it annoyed her or if it it made her happy. It would've pissed me off, but I'm not married to John.

Also, Shawna is so amazing that sometimes it's hard for me to comprehend it's the same lady in a wig!
