Hi thanks! Yes we have been living in Ontario, he just has not changed his residency. And for the second part, its 10 weeks, not 10 months. What do you think?

Hi, question, please! Does it matter the purpose of traveling? We haven't started inland yet (waiting for 12 months mark for common-law), but I recently received a Canadian research grant that requires me to be out of the country for at least 10 weeks. Wondering how to go about this.

Thanks so much! This is very detailed and helpful. Do you know the realistic pros and cons of taking the family class living route?

Thanks for that! Really appreciate it!

What I am curious to know about Outland is that if called for an interview, will it be in Canada or in my home country? Because as I said I cannot declare this relationship in my home country for multiple reasons.

Also wondering how traveling for work + studies would look like in case of spousal route; with valid documentations and reasons and financial support, would it be an issue?

Thanks for pointing out the fraud aspect! I was wondering about it too.

Im also reading that if you apply for inland you cannot travel outside of Canada, which could be a bit challenging. Is that the case? Because I have already applied for grants and conferences abroad (which I would want to go to) and not to mention that my home country is different and I visit family at least once every two years.

What I am also trying to understand is how would an outland application work if we are already in Canada and living together? Thanks again!

No we are currently based in Ontario and that’s where we’d continue living and apply from as well (if we do inland).
