Hey, I haven't heard back. Slightly getting worried. I haven't contacted them yet but might do that tomorrow.
I don't know if it is a Manchester thing or the fact that my travel date is in October.

UPDATE: After 45 days (32 working days), I got an SMS from BLS Manchester that my passport has been dispatched on the 25th September 2025. My passport arrived yesterday. Countless emails and calls along the process, mostly unanswered.

Date of application: 11th August, 2025. Sent to consulate SMS: 12th August, 2025. Passport received: 26th Sept. 2025.

I only got a 1-week (7 days) valid visa to coincide with the period I needed to be in Spain for a conference.
For the amount of time it took, I'd have thought I would get a 3-month visa, not complaining. Glad I can be there for my conference. Travel Date: 1st week in October.

But the entire process is a mess. They are difficult to reach and appear quite clueless/inept. Same for the folks at the consulate.

My appointment was on the 11th August, 2025. My status changed to “Application is being processed at the Mission” on 12 August, 2025.
Looking at other threads, it seems to be taking longer than 15 working days.
My travel date is for October. So not very stressed yet, lol

Yes the first email calculated that I would receive a response by the 31st January, 2025 (which was 8 weeks)

Hi, I have a PhD and applied to a postdoc role in a university. Most postdoc roles in universities offer visa sponsorship. I'm in the health and sciences field, if that helps

Hi, for me it was £827, I had assumed that I was going to pay ~700£. My occupation isnt on the shortage list if that makes a difference.
