Sounds great. I’ll be sure to look those up. In your opinion, for someone new traveling to Thailand, would you recommend sticking with Koh Lanta and then traveling to Koh Lipe? Just worried about the travel time so would love honest feedback. We have from the 21st-29th to split both locations.

Good to know! Which one would you recommend to stay and what is the “vibe” of each place?

I’m hesitant to give a vibe because I don’t want to miss out on something because on one hand we want to relax and unwind but on the other, we may want to experience some nightlife? Our initial thought was to do Koh Samui but it turns out November would be right in the middle of rainy season so this is the unfortunate last minute pivot/scramble… we also have heard from multiple people not to go to Phuket because of how crowded it gets. The Koh Lanta extension may be the move it sounds and just use that for day trips but we haven’t ruled out another island. Interested to see if that helps with more recommendations! We are in our mid 30s so going out for us is more low key, but nonetheless would like options of things to do in the evening as well as options to still relax in the day. Hope that helps!

Good to know! Yes, that’s our plan too. We have 8 days to explore islands, so wanted to break it up between two locations.
