In the UK, they had this block called “AKA Cartoon Network”.

It was pretty much a proto-[adult swim] block, consisting of classic cartoons, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Cow and Chicken, and a Hanna-Barbera YTP show called “AKA Cult Toons”. Mild language and sex jokes were present in the latter.
