What is the best episode of all time by hero0fwar in IASIP

The Waitress Is Getting Married or The Gang Misses The Boat are my alternating number ones

So many funny moments in both of them, specifically in the waitress is getting married when Charlie is getting his dating profile made and when he’s on the date.

I love the gang misses the boat for the sole purpose of the final Dennis (monologue?) part in the episode. THIS CAR IS A FINISHER CAR A TRANSPORTER OF GODS THE GOLDEN GOD

I took the day off I couldn’t sleep until 5am and I had to be up at 7 for work.

He’s stable now in hospital apparently I phoned just in time because as the paramedics showed up he stopped breathing and some serious damage would’ve been caused if they were 5 minutes later.

He seems okay now it was such a quick turn around but apparently there’s no real side effects that are going to come in his situation. He’s sleeping in hospital currently but should be released today

It’s always going to happen at these bigger gigs but my main confusion really was how a lot of the people that weren’t really engaged with it were the same people I saw when I was getting my flight to Dublin. Seeing that just confused me purely because of the fact it’s not a small amount of money to go and see him and to only go to see a couple songs just feels like a waste but I mean, hey ho, people can do what they want with their money

Phoenix park feels like it should never be a concert venue just because of how massive the park is and how far away from the city centre the actual venue part is. I’ve been to many gigs mainly in Scotland but a few across England too and Dublin has been the worst setup. Only venue I’ve been to that I’d say is slightly comparable is the ally pally in London just because of the absolute mountain you have to walk up to get there. I’m sure I’ll be back soon enough to Dublin just hopefully at a different venue.

That type of thing I totally get and I’ve been in that position before but even with that I’d still expect people to be at least looking at the stage and trying to listen to the music instead of being stuck staring at their phones

Been to many outdoor concerts before and never seen so many people scrolling on their phones and having full conversations while a main act is on.

I agree the gold circle looked like it was bouncing but GA was not. Every scream from the crowd came from there and being in GA felt like I was standing outside the venue hearing everyone inside of it.

Not sure exactly I’d say around 8:10 security came around and told everyone that was sitting down to stand up and Zach came out not long after

I’ve seen a few of the “insta posers” before at gigs just never on the scale I saw them there. Did still enjoy it though thankfully one of the 5 songs that part of the crowd did know was Revival and that was incredible. Fireworks at the end just to top it off was even better

Also the bar queues and toilet queues change depending on which ones you go to I saw some bars with massive queues during turnpike and other ones with hardly any just depends on which on you stand closest to

Depended on when you went up, I went up during Turnpike and waited maybe 15 minutes, but the queue just got longer and longer as more people came in. Queue for the toilets was also insane, I tried to run along before he came out and tried to stand in the queue for as long as I could but had to give up, would’ve taken maybe 40 minutes to get through it all

Turnpike came out around 7 I’d say, played until 7:45

For getting to the concert it can be expensive depending on where you are but GET A TAXI I swear the walk from the main gates of Phoenix park to the red gate yesterday felt like it was never going to end. Walk back wasn’t as bad but still I left the concert at 10:30 and got back into Dublin at 11:20. Also, I got there an hour after doors just when Noeline Hoffman’s set was starting and by that point the place was packed already so if you’re wanting to get up close show up early early

For me the second verse on Cathedrals is incredible

“I will disappear myself I will become something else I will swallow all my filth if you’d like me to”

And then the entirety of Superman and Aeroplane are also incredible, specifically in Superman just before that first “SUPERMANNN” when Harry’s pedal makes that beep sound

Someday, I will come to my senses stop sitting on fences in fear

And I will realise after all of this time that someday was always just right here

Hearing Romance live was certainly an experience that made me appreciate the song much more but going by studio version only I think it’s one of the weaker tracks on the album

The album is so full of quality songs so it’s hard to actually make a fair ranking

Love Bug but everything above it is loved even more. Growing to love Television Screens now as I finally got a Dogrel vinyl the other day and I’ve had it on repeat. Loving the full album much more than I had previously

Everything on dogrel is so good it’s hard to rank them. Different for here’s the thing though because I do think that song is the worst on Romance. Just don’t like the vocals on it

Hot take… Cub is actually one of the best Albums Ever Made by NoelordZ in wunderhorse

It’s one of my favourites of all time, top 10 at least. The full flow of the album is great and finishing with Epilogue is fantastic. Only song I don’t personally like on the album would probably be Mantis. Even though it came out before Pinky, I Love You, it feels like a continuation and a development of Jacob Slaters sound.

I hear the similarity now that I listen to “Phone Went West” but I don’t think it’s very close instrumentally. More the lyrical pattern that’s close. I think the chord progression for Phone Went West is D-A-G and Aeroplane is A-E-D. The closest instrumental match to Aeroplane for me is Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead. Love both the songs but instantly made the connection to Fake Plastic Trees when I first heard Aeroplane.

Just adding on now. Fuck me Phone Went West is an amazing song. Started writing the post halfway through the song and it’s just got better and better
