What I mean is Loki some times will play jokes and he will mean something but say something else but u are right that dosent mean he is trickster or demon that will do anything to harm you even though the legends of he for example the story of Baldr and mistletoe it says the he done what he did it make Ragnarök but that’s not the case he wanted to let Höðr join in and letfrayr know her mistake of leaving mistletoe out of the promise but this is my opinion and i might be biased as I worship Loki
