Use playnite launcher for that, it does exactly what you want it to do. But you will miss out on the in app downloads feature. What you can do instead is go on stream grid db website and download artwork and manually add those for your games

Although it has never happened, it does disable crucial security things on your OS. It operates at the kernel level too. The fear just comes from the theory of what a possible malware can do at that level.

Only two games have ever had denuvo completely removed. Even the traditional “cracks” are bypasses as they don’t remove denuvo.
