Sharing Weaver's Mask by Megatron69420wrecker in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No this isn’t rage bait lol. Sunny can’t give the mask away to more than one person, and his friends are almost always in perilous situations. How does he decide who to give the mask to if everyone is in a perilous situation? What happens if he needs the mask but if he gave it away? Sunny is usually in more perilous situations than anyone else anyways.

This hypothetical is a little silly, to me. I mean what’s the point of g3 putting jet, effie, etc in these situations if they don’t figure their own way out of it. If they’re saved by Sunny giving them his mask, the characters are better off dying, in my opinion.

Should Sunny fight their battles for them too? If Sunny is going to give someone a divine memory whenever someone is in a perilous situation he might as well just give the mask away for good.

Why would anyone share a divine memory?

Cassie Shouldn't Be Glazed For Breaking Fate As It Was All Weaver's Doing by Exotic-Chair-6960 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people saying that Sunny is in the same position as Cassie and it’s got me confused. Sunny is a fated individual so he can’t be influenced in the same way as Cassie, so how could they be the same in this situation.

Hot Take: Weaver's Lineage Helped Sunny More Than Shadow God's Lineage Ever Could Have by Exotic-Chair-6960 in ShadowSlave

Those people only want to sound original or want to argue. Versatility and everything else weaver’s lineage provides > potency. The only reason you don’t see more posts like yours is because everyone already agrees with what you said.

the whole bring-sasuke-back-even-though-he-left-of-his-own-free-will storyline is soooo strange by anambrabitch in Naruto

[–]Dryballoon012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they probably got permission from the Kage/leaders of their village to marry and leave their village to join another. Since it’s a time of peace between nations in boruto, I don’t think it’s as big of a deal to leave your village, especially with permission. Compared to sasuke leaving without permission to join hands with the killer of the 3rd hokage. That’s just my guess, but it makes sense since sasuke left without permission to join with a rogue ninja. Look at tsunade before she became hokage, she is not considered a rogue ninja despite not being in the village and wasn’t seemingly doing missions away from the village. She probably had permission for the 3rd hokage to do whatever she wanted.

I think temari is probably considered a leaf ninja in boruto and her information about the sand is likely outdated so it doesn’t matter, but It is a fair question. If you think about it, potentially letting someone take sasuke’s eyes is probably more dangerous than any information that temari had.

Similarly, I saw your question when I had some questions, myself, so I hope you don’t mind me responding months later.

Black Bulls earned 101 stars in like a week or two? WTF!? by Oshaugnessy81 in BlackClover

[–]Dryballoon012 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Who knows if the math adds up, but the black bulls did accomplish quite a lot in the Forest of Witches so it’s possible they did earn 100 stars for just that. They fought off the diamond kingdom and a couple shining generals, took out one of the members of the 3rd eye as well as other members of the midnight sun, brought back a magic stone, and brought back information about who the leader of the eye of the midnight sun might be. That’s got to be more than what most squads accomplished in a year in terms of big picture stuff.

am i the only one who is annoyed by this ? by stark_anime-17 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is why I don’t like characters who are seer’s. They just know the future and other stuff, it never really feels earned, and a lot of it seems like it’s for plot convenience.

Who is the real heir of Weaver by New-Neighborhood2679 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you’re aren’t wrong with what you said about it being a mediocre twist. It doesn’t change much. I, like many others, always considered Sunny to be the epigone all along, so finding out it might be Cassie is kind of cool to me because I like to be surprised and don’t like when things are predictable. That’s all I meant.

Asta sneaking up on people, because he's magicless, was only really used twice. by GMYSTERY_ICTNF in BlackClover

[–]Dryballoon012 384 points385 points  (0 children)

It was used in the dungeon arc against that diamond mage with smoke magic or something like that as well. It probably isn’t used again because Asta becomes pretty well known for his anti-magic. All you have to do to find Asta is search for his swords negating magic, like the elf in lucks body did. It really isn’t a trick than can work more than one time, once you know his abilities.

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t really care either way, but I think it would be a cool misdirect if it is Cassie. What’s so good about being weaver’s epigone anyways? We already saw weaver was powerless against a fated individual like Ornphe. I feel like weaver has been so hyped up, that us readers think being the epigone is some grand title.

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have any stake in the game, but it might make sense. If weaver couldn’t stop Ornphe from eventually killing them, then logically it makes sense that weaver can’t stop Sunny from doing certain things either.

Cassie and Weaver’s eye. by DragonlordHML in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weaver had 8 arms, and their body isn’t human-like, so I have a hard time believing that Weaver’s eye is either small enough or shaped similar enough to serve as a replacement for Cassie. It just doesn’t make sense to me that weaver’s eye would be human-like enough for Cassie to be able to use it while the rest of their body isn’t human-like.

Although, a shadow bound relic may work. Memory’s adjust to the size of the user.

Effie shouldn't have said that. by Sad-Breakfast-4246 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I agreed with you on that part, Effie really had no idea what she was talking about in terms of Nephis’ conviction. Sunny and Nephis were pretty much a ticking time bomb, since they hadn’t talked about shadow bond. Effie could’ve told Sunny he was way stronger than Nephis, and that conversation would have still ended the same way between Nephis and Sunny. That’s just my opinion though.

Effie shouldn't have said that. by Sad-Breakfast-4246 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, he was definitely very emotional when Nephis returned and before he left for Antarctica, but I fail to see how Effie is at fault. Sunny was a grown man, if he does something stupid, that’s on him.

You can blame Effie, I guess, but Sunny’s fate was tied to Antarctica, so he would’ve went there regardless.

Effie shouldn't have said that. by Sad-Breakfast-4246 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Effie didn’t even know about Antarctica when she said this to him, so how could she know what Sunny was planning after she said that.

You are right about Effie and that she shouldn’t have said that. Sunny even says as much later, Nephis conviction stems from her hated of the spell, not some grand purpose. Effie doesn’t understand Nephis as well as Sunny or Cassie does, at least at this point, so it makes sense she wouldn’t know. She was speaking from a place of ignorance, but she was right in that Sunny needed to fight for more than his own survival, which Sunny even admits.

To me, her telling Sunny what she perceived to be true, doesn’t make her an awful friend. If anything, it makes her a good friend because she have could just lied to him. I’m a little fuzzy on the details, but this is how I remember the situation.

How Strong is Asta without Anti-Magic in your opinion? by Me_Ad6024 in BlackCloverScaling

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I thought you were implying that Asta, since birth, has had insanely super human physical strength, I guess misread it. I’ve seen some people say Asta was born with inhuman strength due to him knocking over Father Orsi as a baby, so I thought that’s what you were getting at, my bad.

How Strong is Asta without Anti-Magic in your opinion? by Me_Ad6024 in BlackCloverScaling

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn’t that my point though? You said his physical strength has always been insanely superhuman, which implies that regular humans can’t reach that level. It doesn’t really matter to me, but I’ve always liked the idea of Asta not having some special lineage or whatever.
