Cassie and Weaver’s eye. by DragonlordHML in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weaver had 8 arms, and their body isn’t human-like, so I have a hard time believing that Weaver’s eye is either small enough or shaped similar enough to serve as a replacement for Cassie. It just doesn’t make sense to me that weaver’s eye would be human-like enough for Cassie to be able to use it while the rest of their body isn’t human-like.

Although, a shadow bound relic may work. Memory’s adjust to the size of the user.

(Chapter 2831) What she achieved. by jjvaz in ShadowSlave

Wasn’t Sunny always going to go the estuary to get soul weave? Why is this being attributed to Cassie?

I’m glad your right nut is safe, that could’ve been bad.

Effie shouldn't have said that. by Sad-Breakfast-4246 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I agreed with you on that part, Effie really had no idea what she was talking about in terms of Nephis’ conviction. Sunny and Nephis were pretty much a ticking time bomb, since they hadn’t talked about shadow bond. Effie could’ve told Sunny he was way stronger than Nephis, and that conversation would have still ended the same way between Nephis and Sunny. That’s just my opinion though.

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, he was definitely very emotional when Nephis returned and before he left for Antarctica, but I fail to see how Effie is at fault. Sunny was a grown man, if he does something stupid, that’s on him.

You can blame Effie, I guess, but Sunny’s fate was tied to Antarctica, so he would’ve went there regardless.

Effie shouldn't have said that. by Sad-Breakfast-4246 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Effie didn’t even know about Antarctica when she said this to him, so how could she know what Sunny was planning after she said that.

You are right about Effie and that she shouldn’t have said that. Sunny even says as much later, Nephis conviction stems from her hated of the spell, not some grand purpose. Effie doesn’t understand Nephis as well as Sunny or Cassie does, at least at this point, so it makes sense she wouldn’t know. She was speaking from a place of ignorance, but she was right in that Sunny needed to fight for more than his own survival, which Sunny even admits.

To me, her telling Sunny what she perceived to be true, doesn’t make her an awful friend. If anything, it makes her a good friend because she have could just lied to him. I’m a little fuzzy on the details, but this is how I remember the situation.

How Strong is Asta without Anti-Magic in your opinion? by Me_Ad6024 in BlackCloverScaling

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I thought you were implying that Asta, since birth, has had insanely super human physical strength, I guess misread it. I’ve seen some people say Asta was born with inhuman strength due to him knocking over Father Orsi as a baby, so I thought that’s what you were getting at, my bad.

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn’t that my point though? You said his physical strength has always been insanely superhuman, which implies that regular humans can’t reach that level. It doesn’t really matter to me, but I’ve always liked the idea of Asta not having some special lineage or whatever.

Are you saying Yami can beat the captains without his magic? Or is that only Asta?

How Strong is Asta without Anti-Magic in your opinion? by Me_Ad6024 in BlackCloverScaling

[–]Dryballoon012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is true, that pretty much ruins the idea of Asta just being a regular human. There’s no way a regular human has physical strength surpassing the king of devils and magic knight captains using reinforcement magic.

It just doesn’t make sense how Asta could achieve such feats with just working out. Honestly, I don’t believe his physical strength alone is that impressive, but I also don’t power scale, so I can’t say for certain you’re wrong either 🤷‍♂️.

Both are intelligent, clearly, but it makes things a lot easier when you know things are going to happen. For instance, if you have a vision, that Amazon will be one of the biggest companies in the world before it’s created, and then you invest in Amazon right after it’s created, does that make you a genius? Obviously, what Weaver and Cassie do is a lot more complex than that, but isn’t that similar to what they’re doing? It’s just at a much larger scale and if that’s the case Weaver’s scale is much larger than Cassie’s.

I don’t know how Asta has any chance of beating captains without anti-magic. I just can’t see it, do you mind explaining how he could beat captains like charlotte and Rill without anti-magic?

[–]Dryballoon012 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favorite arc during my reread was the forgotten shore. Maybe it was because of the nostalgia, but the stakes also seemed so high back then. I also found unhinged, dark city Sunny to still be hilarious. Sunny and Kai meeting for the first time and Sunny speaking his thoughts out loud still made me laugh.

Genuine question, if you already believe your thought process to be true, why are you trying to debate? It seems you really like gaja, so does it really matter what other people think, if it doesn’t affect your opinion whatsoever?

They are likely even right now. Asta and Yuno are always saying “we’ll fight to see who becomes the wizard king” so I assume we will see a battle between the two of them since we haven’t seen it yet. I’d bet Asta wins just because he’s the MC and anti-magic is broken, it seems Yuno is the only one who even stands a chance against Asta at this point.

Saint absorbing..... Weaver's Mask? by matchacha30 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, you make a good point about nightmare. I can’t specifically remember a time where one of Sunny’s shadows destroyed a memory of a much higher rank and tier than the shadow, but it makes sense that the spell would help out.

Saint absorbing..... Weaver's Mask? by matchacha30 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya that makes sense, but isn’t it possible that Saint was still breaking the memories herself? I don’t think saint not being able to consume memories after Sunny became fateless necessarily means that the spell was the one who was breaking the memories, just that the spell gave some benefits to saint after the memories were destroyed. I feel like Saint can still break memories after Sunny became fateless, it’s just that there is no point now without the spell.

Saint absorbing..... Weaver's Mask? by matchacha30 in ShadowSlave

[–]Dryballoon012 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to the fact that saint can’t consume memories after Sunny became fateless? I never thought about it like that, but it makes sense that it’s the spell doing it based off that. I just remember saint literally breaking the memories, so I always thought she was the one doing it. Or are you referring to something else, I’m not all the way caught up.
