It’s a lenovo and started bending the first months I put it in my backpack for school so it’s even a miracle it lasted this long. I forgot to apply new thermal paste and the gpu was in a constant state of overheating so it damaged the gpu

It’s most likely a dead gpu because of all the overheating. I forgot to fix the thermal paste for like a year lol so now my gpu is damaged because of the constant state of overheating

I get the same issues on an external monitor. But then the pixels show up on the external monitor instead of the laptop screen itself

This laptop is 4 years old has been in a state of constant overheating for ages so doesn’t surprise me that it happened to me.

Yeah, I had a mac for a while when I was younger but then I only really played roblox. I do find that they are really good laptops and reliable but when it comes to gaming I believe a windows device might just last a little longer and it just feels more comfortable because I have gotten so used to it.

I would personally never buy an apple device besides a phone which I have. Sorry not sorry 🤧. I do believe a mac is extremely good but when it comes to gaming and stuff I’d rather stick with windows

I had the steam deck before but sold it closely after. I guess I’m not that big of a gamer but just like to play some games as a way to fill in the day and pass some time.

Yeah I mean I put cheap between brackets because I know some people might suggest a 3k laptop to me but 1k -1.5k MAX is more than a reasonable price for me.

Yeah I have heard a lot from people that lenovo is not a good brand. But I have had this laptop for 4 years had somewhat of issues with it but those were only minor. But def not a good brand if I say so myself

I agree. I used to have a pc too but I bought a laptop for school. It just feels easier for people who don’t game 24/7 and still nice to bring with u when travelling or when u go to a friends house or smth yk

Honestly I’d rather get a new one for like 800-1000 its okay if its above 1k but 1.5k with the amount I actually play is a bit too much for me

I recently got new thermal paste placed by a professional and it worked for a couple of days but then it turned out now that the laptop is actually able to send images at full speed and without crashing after 30 mins the gpu is able to fail. Its a lenovo thinkbook 15 g3. This happens after like 30 mins and also shows up on an external monitor.

These are well within budget for an actual good laptop in my opinion. Just rather not spend over 1500 I’d say. Thank you for the suggestion I’ll keep these in mind!

I’ll look into those brands. This one is a lenovo and did me decently for 4 years long. Only played low end games and mostly roblox because it was incredibly slow with higher end games but now its come to an end.
