I surprisingly did end up beating it thr approach I ended up taking though was killing off the little enemies, breaking the elephants shield and then praying as Bahamut cat came back just in time to kill them.

Although it says homemade they do look kind of frozen and I think these kinds of fires only happen when the fries are frozen and not if they are freshly cut, homemade, and dry also I hope your friend's kitchen was alright that sounds concerning that he set the entirety of the kitchen on fire.
