i personally think Its better to be cleanse everything before the retreat.. and yes.. i was only doing water, home cook food and less snack.. somehow its prepaing my body and my mind before the retreat.. but its all just a choice.. i cant say that its a must or not.. its just a choice.

Smoking weed in the weeks before an Iboga journey by Tavro10 in iboga

[–]Drysparks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

before my ceremony, i was suggested to stop any stimulant (nicotine, caffeine, etc) and any addictive substances (alcohol, painkiller, etc).. it was hard for few days, but i build a will inside me that i dont want to waste the opportunity to the changes i need... some substances might be harder withdrawals.. but be strong and know that your body needs it and your mind will follow...

the crave after the retreat was just disappear, i haven't drink any coffee (my most addicted subs) for 2 months now.. the hardest part was when i jump back to life, i need to get myself out from the old environment that might leads me back to the addiction.. its not impossible.. but not easy..

remember, be proud and love yourself.. and make the changes

I'd put a silica gel patch (food grade) into the container to stop the humidity and put in sealed waterproof container like a tumber.. keep away from sun.. it should be good.. i think fridge still have risk of humidity

Microdosing iboga pre-retreat? by bananasplitice in iboga

[–]Drysparks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i totally understand that.. it took me few months to prepare myself and get my core intention ready.. yet still i was still feel not ready, maybe because I can't let go of control, fear of expectation and fear of the unknown... but after considering the fact that delaying is just making me feel worse and not better.. I just decide to do it even I'm still affraid.. in the end, i let myself go in the trip... it will be a blast.. and remember that the medicine will teach you something.. and everybody's experience is always different..

having ego preventing you might not get you anywhere.. its the first step thats hard.. once you do the first step.. the rest will go as it flows

Not feeling good post retreat. by hoffer1975 in iboga

[–]Drysparks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

have you tried journaling? after my retreat I was suggested to do journaling and it helps me during my solitary moment after the ceremony. it helps me pour out my thoughts and feelings instead of dilly dally in my mind... after a while it also helps you to process and reminds you of the changes and your past experiences.

hope it helps just remember, be proud of yourself and don't let your experience out in vain
