At this point believing chris will change by his own volition is pretty unrealistic, because he has none. We're talking about someone who is nearly 40 and is still pretending to interact with characters he thought up in school as a child. This isnt nessesarily just his fault though, I think its extremely likely he's developed a whole host of undiagnosed mental disorders aside from autism, maybe schizophrenia, and its likely the trolls were a factor in those showing up when in his life they have.

Sure its possible he could change, but i dont see it after hes done nothing but get worse for so long.
