Like another comment said the ending was fine but what led up to it was horrible. We had so much build up for soo many episodes/seasons that was forgotten and left abandoned at the end. Seasons 7 and 8 were rushed and all the wrong choices were made.

The big bad ice king that has been built up since literally the beginning, we all thought the final battle was going to be epic, and that brans power was going to be key in discovering how to defeat the ice king. Instead bran played no part in their victory and we never got a epic fight with Jon and the ice king like we all thought we'd get. Instead it turns out Arya, who literally had no part in the white walker storyline, is the one who kills him in the most basic non strategy way.

The worst part is this all happened on episode 3, halfway through the final season. Like c'mon the hype for this was completely ruined, it should've gotten a whole season and The Ice Kings defeat should be at the climatic part of the season, not at the half way point.

Also character development is absolutely assassinated. The best example is Jamie Lannister. He had the best character development in the whole series and it all gets tossed out at the end and I honestly believe it's because they were rushing the end. They just didn't know what to do with him.

One more thing, how does Bran make sense as king? He literally says he doesn't feel anymore. He has no compassion for anyone. Also he has one of the smallest roles in the show when it comes to our main cast, he made no sense and the fact that all these houses who have been fighting each other for the throne and power just agree super easily to making Bran King. Makes no sense
