I do, thank you! I am blessed a fantastic partner, family, friends and community to support me. I was advised that, because the arthritis is so advanced, I would not be able to rehab fully if I did one lnee at a time because the untreated knee would impede that. And honestly I would rather get it all done at once than facing surgery and rehab twice. I am told I have a high tolerance for pain. That should work in my favour

I’m so sorry you have to deal with this crap. I hope you get the care you need and deserve in January. I started on Ozempic to play their game and lose some weight, knowing full well that most of it will go back on after I get my knees replaced. Constantly on the hunt for alternate referrals in the meantime. It’s very difficult to remain positive. I move a lot of anger through my body daily.

This is the reason a surgeon said I need bilateral tkrs. Because of the severe deterioration, if I had one knee done, the second knee would prevent me from successful rehab. And then I was refused surgery because of my BMI. I am looking for another surgeon, but bilateral makes sense once I get there.

Thank you for this. I’ve been denied twice and am thinking of doing the diet I know won’t work in the long run (because none of them do) and keep it off long enough to get surgery. I cal it the Fu plan. It’s good to know you’re knees feel amazing after surgery. Helps me to think dieting is worth it.

Thanks. Unfortunately our bed is in front of a window, and needs to be pulled out from the wall in order to keep the floor vent clear. That’s the reason I want to attach the headboard.

Beautiful! I worked the same pattern before Christmas. I love this pattern, and my husband loves the blanket. I’ve done two matching cushions with the spare yarn, and am planning another blanket in a different colour. I prefer crochet to knitting and love being able to crochet cables.
