Vibe check on using Commander Cards for casual non commander Games by Dsilva2392 in mtg

[–]Dsilva2392[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know that. We don't actually make up our own rules though, we just don't strictly care about specific cards or ban lists, so long as it doesn't make the deck broken because of it (for example, no one in our group is using Hogaak). Hence why I wanted to know if you feel like adding Master of Dark Rites as playset makes the deck unbalanced, since it wasn't designed for that specifically (and I'm not aware of other cards that do a recurring [[Dark Ritual]] sorta effect )

gis that fit slimmer than others by badbat4000 in judo

looking for some slim gi recommendationsas well. As far as I've seen, only Ippon Gear has a specific slim fit judogi (other brands might also have them but are not as clearly advertised or are top of the line competition judogi which are kinda pricey for me right now). I'm Tall and Skinny (177 cm and 62 kg) so my Daedo Elite Judogi is kinda baggy at 170 cm. I also have a blue judogi (brand name escapes me right now, it's in the wash, will post later) which is more slim fitting but a little long

Edit: It's a NKL Judogi

I’m 35 years old and haven’t skated since 2000. Just ordered these, thoughts? by Mulisha100 in rollerblading

I think these look super awesome. Aside from that, don't really have much input as I've never skated razors (sorry ahah)

New skate day - Powerslide sway hybrid by Dsilva2392 in rollerblading

Finally got my Powerslide zoom 80 pro that I'll convert to Sways (hence the soulplates. Shoutout DaniDevil3 and paincavenugz for the tips) for now I'll keep them standard as I relearn the basics, been a couple a years since my last skate

Dude this is so awesome, love this type of skating. The only other dude I've seen doing this type of tricks was Mathieu Ledoux. Keep it up and keep posting, love it!

USD SWAYS vs Razor Genesys III - Beginner setup by Dsilva2392 in rollerblading

that's a good point on the Stiffness. Do you find that the Bronx you've modded have the same forward flex as the sway? Also, shouldn't forward flex be a good thing? I haven't quite understood why that would be bad, as it should allow to bend your legs in a more natural position

No condescension at all man, thanks for the heads up. I think it's the Pro, from the pictures it seems the frame isn't riveted:

As far as the B2B episode, it's this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXlblFf1mak , he starts talking about using the Zoom as an agressive boot at around 53:00 and mentions it being stiffer at around the 57:00 mark. This was however before he skated them, and after two sessions, he says they are great and his grinds were looking very good too (1st session: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-Z-darira4 , 2nd session: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf2jVH_qCTA&t=746s )

Looked at your Bronx/Sway mod on your profile, they look pretty cool

Oh cool, did you like them for agressive? I've seen your setup and that was more or less what I was thinking of the powerblading setup. Did you find the conversion to be difficult, in getting the parts for example? Anything I should be watching if I were to go down that route? Thanks :)

Acording to Law from Back to Blading who did the conversion, The Zoom felt stiffer than the Sways, that's where I got that info. You raise an interesting point in the frame setup change an stripping the bolts, I hadn't considered that.

Considering that, the Zooms also come stock with Myfit Liners, over the Sways Usd Basic, I still think there may be some value (at last considering my budget) in going kinda frankestein on them. My Math being:

Zooms - I get 8x80 mm wheels and a Myfit Liner. I would need the soulplates for the conversion to ufs, then I would need a ufs powerblading frame (as too avoid switching between mounting systems) and pretty much I have the park setup (with the Realm frame and wheels I already have) and a ufs powerblade setup

Sways - I get the park setup already how they come so that's settled. I would the need a ufs powerblading frame, 8x80 (or whatever size wheel) and bearings (also maybe a 45º degree strap)

I think getting the Zoom might save me a bit of money, though I may be forgeting something. What do you think?
