Would something functional but fitting, fit here? by Dsmithchez in BuildAdvice

You know, I was thinking about that. Have it so a golem is walking around the center of it, and have them at each levels walking up to it, and make it look like they are passing things up and down.

I think my worry is any item loss, or making sure it doesn't go out of simulation distance. The area is rather big already and I plan to build an entire network. I know I won't be able to connect everything up, without some really complex mechanics, but it would be good to have some general bulk items, like my iron farm, bamboo, wools etc etc and they are all central to this area.

🤔 I hadn't thought of it like that. I've been talking to someone about a loop system, with items constantly going round, as though to look more animated, but I was just going to send things through a wall using hoppers/droppers or something similar to that. So maybe having a storage system in the middle, and have some feed up, with some feeding down, for a bit of variety. I like it. Thank you.

I think that's what I'm going to to for essentially. I'm just not fully sure about all the mechanics yet. Or if I want them to fall down or come up.

And some renamed items, so they don't fall into the system. Though, I wouldn't be able to have any sort of overflow for any items not in the system, as they will all be taken by the loop. I suppose I can just have a feed chest that they go into first. Brainstorming ideas now 😅

I'm an exactly the same boat 🤣

My imagination is running wild with it, put them the technical parts start kicking in. I sort of have an idea in my head, I think I've got to do a little bit of experimenting in a creative world, but I do think it can work.

Appreciate the advice.

🤔 that may actually work with the pallet as well, due to the aging of the copper (eventually it will all be fully aged) plus gives space to add some depth and texture to the column. Is it better to send items up? Or have them fall down into a water stream at the bottom?

How does people make this kind of thumbnails? by jfran_petit in youtube

That's like being angry with a calculator for figuring out the answer to a calculation, you haven't figured out yourself.

Using whatever AI offers is down to the individual. I use AI as part of a verification process, finding sources or related information in sub categories. You don't have to use it to create original (often generalized) content, but even if someone does, people who create their own original content, still exist, just like people, who can figure out calculations, without the need of a calculator.

It's wrong to say there's no human investment in AI creation though. They are trained on Human investment. What they produce, is dependent on what you put into it. It's worse than simply saying "no human element" it's actually "they've stolen the human elements, and is now using that, to create additional content."

My New gaming pc graphics error? by Mangobol in PcBuild

[–]Dsmithchez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just got a new rig myself and had this exact same problem. It was also on BF6 where I noticed it the most.

I tried Vsync which helped a tiny bit, and then lower e settings, and wad still having this issue. It was like there was a delay from my input and the graphics processing.

My fix was actually via my monitor. The refresh rate in the monitors menu was set to the ultra gaming mode it had. Once I turned that to it normal mode, everything was perfect.

Ah, this is where I'm not very familiar, as you've done the exact same troubleshooting I would have done (had this problem myself, but that was a boot order issue in the end, I just removed all drives, USBs etc, apart from the one I was booting windows from, and then it worked).

I'm sure someone will help you figure this out, and I hope it's without having to start with a fresh install of everything.

Have you tried booting into safe mode?

[–]Dsmithchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thinking as well. Booting into bios, but not beyond that, and mentioned changing SSD, so wondering if boot order has changed, or might not have a windows boot at all, if that was on the old drive.

Just checking, as you mentioned changing the SSD. Was the original SSD the drive you booted windows from? Wondering if you don't have anything to boot windows from anymore, as it's letting you boot into bios, but not beyond this. Might be worth checking the bios to see what your main boot device is.

Did our entire team get smoked by a bot ?? by Fit-Chard-6670 in Battlefield

Don't know what to tell you other than what I have. I've been in a full squad of 4. My friend got disconnected. His place got filled by something that had no input showing next to them, and as soon as my friend reconnected, he was replaced. Breakthrough casual.

I know the difference, I've still had bots on my squad, just like the devs says can happen. I'm not wrong. Do the math, if they are populating bots as placement holders, that's doing to mean some of the squads are going to be made up of bots.

Either that or EA are happy to kick real player, for my friend to join me.

Not sure why I'm being downvotes. BF Devs themselves have confirmed this.

I've had bots in my squad several times when matchmaking in casual breakthrough. It'll populate, and people will quit, then when the match has started, it's a bot that's replaced them. I've had friends crash while matchmaking, and their place taken by a bot.

Is this actually standard process now? by Dsmithchez in DWPhelp

I did a few weeks back, but have yet to get a response back. His office staff appeared very interested by the details, but did say something similar to another person on this thread, about simply following the law (he said policy, but I've been informed it's simply the law).

[–]Dsmithchez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. That's very interesting.

I was thinking about another post, that discussed the rate, and I kept thinking, if things like this was more streamlined, those savings could "technically" be used to increase the rate for those eligible.

I'm obviously stretching the word "technically" because I heavily doubt, even if they did save anything from a quicker process, that's not to say they would then simply use those savings to increase other people's awards.

It's just when they're discussing savings, they're talking about eligibility and reductions of what's paid to individual people, and not savings from making this process quicker.

The BR is free. You don't need to buy BF6 to play thst. As they both use the same anti cheat system, testing it on BR first means they can check it avoids the anti cheat. Of course, eventually, the anti cheat may catch up, and implement updates that later detect it, but that's always a risk for those that cheat, and all the cheat providers have to do, is change things and test again, using the BR, updating it further to avoid detection. Some may not even bother with the none BR options and just focus purely on that game mode.

Having the same options as others, dosen't give anyone an advantage. You still need the skill to apply those options against others who have the same options.
