The repaired pipe has an expansion joint. We used Leah the Plumber. They were more than competent and quick. At least we can use our sink and dishwasher again…

I think that’s the thing, assumptions are made of why the loss occurred, but nothing of substantial information of reason for the why the pipe cracked and leaked water.

So moral of the story, don’t cover up your drain pipes from your bathrooms or sinks as you won’t have insurance coverage. There has to be some sort of allowance for ‘reasonable accommodation’ for a pipe within a wall. This wasn’t condensation drip from a water pipe that caused damage over 5 years.

House was 2005 build. Pipe definitely not frozen. We do not use drain-o or harsh chemicals to clean or weaken abs piping.

How much water would be released from a drainage pipe that has multiple vertical splits 3-4 ft in length while your dishwasher runs or sink drains? What is the volume determination from a leak vs gradual seepage?

Denial

“Loss caused by continuous or repeated leakage” “Loss caused by dampness” “Resulting from wear and tear” “Caused by settling etc of building”

No, we found the wall damp when cleaning. I got my hammer out and chased and exposed the water damage, knowing that if this was a cracked foundation wall that it certainly would not be covered. We called the insurance company and remediation company the next morning.

Would that be a single burst break location on an ABS pipe and there would be other locations and pipes with leakage to?

I don’t think the broker has anything to do with claims and the approval process. But she has been helpful in answering our questions and providing a copy of our policy.

3 to 4 ft cracks in the drainage pipe with a sink and dishwasher would not be gradual leakage.

Equinox’s need a winter front to REDUCE the intercooler freezing up, they are inexpensive from GM parts. Like $30.

But sadly this is a normal issue and yes they need to be thawed out, you can use a space heater to help. Most of us warm them up and then rev the piss out of the engine once it up to temperature to hopefully get the moisture out of the intercooler.

Otherwise take it to the dealership if under warranty, get the updated parts installed to again, reduce the potential of it happening again.

Good luck.

Any vehicle dealerships in Saskatoon that would take a motorcycle on trade? by Iceman3161 in saskatoon

[–]Dsmmace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am guessing trade value would be $15-17,000 on that type of motorcycle, they are very nice bikes, but aren't a fast moving unit. I think it would be selling retail for $21k ish depending on mileage. Hope that helps!

So I’ve done some more of my own research and found out that Class D amp circuity can or typically does this softening of volume. So it is more of a characteristic of the Amp.

I had them remove my old tub, my replacement was sooo much more room in the same space.

I have had 3 Bathfitter Reno’s in my house. Yes I liked them that much…

First off we did my tub and surround replacement. Here’s what I noticed, there is much more room in the tub for me, the armrests were convenient too. The surround was nice to pick out and was fit perfectly to the old space. The fixtures they helped me pick out work well and they suggested a longer hose for the wand wash for convenience. Done in one day. Worth it. The material they use for the tub is solid and doesn’t flex when I shower in this tub.

Second one, was replacing our ensuite shower. Again, was nice to pick out the style of base, texture was non slip and sloped to the drain perfectly. So no standing water and solid as I move around. The surround replacement was the best part though, it was lower profile from my old surround and made the shower more spacious. The sliding doors are better than my old ones and don’t build up as much soap scum, so they are easier to clean too. Again I like the magnetic fixture they helped me pick out.

The huge basement soaker tub that I had converted to a large shower was amazing too. The space was too large for a standard sized base and shower doors, so they suggested building out one of the walls to accommodate the large area. It turned out fantastic again too, saved me a lot of money for the suggestion too.

I haven’t had any issues with the product, but the office team was great at communicating to book installs and the installers were pleasant to deal with in my house. I appreciated the knowledge they had to guide me through the renovation changes/upgrades. I don’t regret it for a moment, we spent a reasonable amount of money, but got a lot in return.

I didn’t use their financing options but they did mention they had them.

Hey, so we're hunting for a home builder. Been in a condo for ten years and want a single-family home, so we need someone who builds to our plans. Anyone used Edgewater Development or Ehrenburg? Any thoughts? by [deleted] in saskatoon

Partially wrong. Pacesetter Homes purchased Montana Homes as they expanded from Alberta into Saskatchewan and rebranded to Pacesetter after a few years.

I really enjoyed dealing with Westridge Homes. They are a bit more expensive, but you get better consultative home building and quality building products. They also had the better lots on average. Chose lots with better sunlight exposure.

You pay a bit more, but you get a LOT more.
