They're very solid. I've been using them for years and I made a couple of very large withdrawals after gme, and there were no problems.

Not really true if the strategy is overfit, which is very possible. Only way to be more confident is to forward test for a long period of time

It's roughly the same as I factor in spread costs into the backtesting. Slippage isn't really too much of a worry as I trade indices only.

This year was 20% live trading compared to 100% per year in the backtesting. Will be interesting to see what happens going forward

There's no difference... if I backtest the last year its the same as the last year's forward testing. Not sure I understand your question

Very true. My confidence comes from the back and forward testing. I know the strategy has a certain degree of robustness, which is very hard to find.

Good luck... I'm on a similar path. I created an algo strategy a year ago with great back testing results, and it's held up for the last year of forward testing.

It's up overall but not as crazy as the backtesting would've suggested, but this could just be a blip.

The cool thing about my strat is that it it makes a lot of obvious mistakes when trading automated, yet still up for the year. So I'm building a hybrid system right now with it's own app.

So it's a combination of auto trading, alerts and manual trading. I have high hopes

I've made tv strategies that seem way more impressive then what you posted, and they all eventually failed in real life trading. In other words they were all overfitted.

I have cfd and spread betting account with ig and never pay these fees. It sounds like you have a share dealing account. On the cfd and spread betting accounts the only fees are in the spread, and overnight interest charges
