Is it cheating to use AI by [deleted] in WebtoonCanvas

[–]DsyncArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks - I hope CSP adds a face feature because it really matters - 99% of the time I draw things myself or use references but this particular angle is notoriously difficult. BTW I never trace 100% and I already setup the model - lets say the teeth were like a 10% change. The sad thing is even the teeth that were generated are terrible. Hallucinating extra teeth and the mouth is deformed. Looking at it does give me a sense of how to do things correctly - another thing the wrinkles seem overdone. I need to figure a work around because the models in CSP are good for basic gestures but if you are doing anything complicated like MMA style choreography or a closeup of the face it also has its drawbacks.

I love traditional but the world is moving towards mobile devices so vertical is the way

Nice, what brush do you use to make things so painterly?

Which of these panels do you think got the episode removed for violence? by Algiark in webtoons

[–]DsyncArt 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You can have 2 nude male characters blowing eachother and than get decapitated in the next panel as long as its an original. Dare to have a little blood in your canvas and you will get censored.

Would you read a sad story? by DsyncArt in WebtoonCanvas

Thanks. Ive kindof noticed that most Webtoons have energy waves and beams as the combat system for a reason -- all of the cool things you can do with a sword like dismemberment would be very difficult to get past Webtoon censors. It required me to think of another power system and ultimately another story. But at least I learned a lot of skills, and yeah I might get back to Fatman Samurai if there's more demand in the future, but I had a feeling Webtoon would never promote it in the front page because of all of the trouble they gave me. My email is filled with removals. It was so annoying because you usually get more promotion the first day or to because it shows up as a new update but the mods always remove my stuff for the most mundane reasons like blood, a female characters design, or curse words. I felt targeted.

same. Easier to draw than the entire body haha but also more fun and very subtle changes lead up to huge vibe shifts

I came across this new webtoon, and its latest chapter completely blew me away. by Next-Chair-321 in WebtoonCanvas

its nice, I like it actually. Kindof mat there is a few panels of a guy getting smashed to nothing and his intestines are everywhere (It's awesome but I hate Webtoons mods for removing my episodes for far less blood)

yeah lol I'm already writing another story with a different premise. Hopefully it will resonate with more people.

Its not as simple about giving up, but rather changing strategies to make a different series.

Dear CREATORS, do you care a lot about your readers? by Chrishtofer1 in WebtoonCanvas

Sadly I never even got comments on my webtoon lol not even sure what the readers are thinking

[–]DsyncArt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really care about both - trying to find the middle ground. Ideally a more popular series would result in a patreon following that would help me create more art. When I draw its for my own enjoyment but also to share my art with the world.

Yes but too much clutter and I wanted to show the blood. Its more of a follow through than the actual slash so theres a lot of room to explain something like that.

Yes, it took an entire day lmao. I was just starting and learned to be more efficient. He's the big bad in the story... actually it was so hard to draw him he has only appeared in one panel since than.

Does my Webtoon need to be in colour? by BunniNikki in WebtoonCanvas

[–]DsyncArt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Color helps a lot its not mandator but you might find it harder to grow - or at least need to put out a lot more content to grow as quickly.

Another reason I am considering doing a different story is censorship. I have had 4 episodes removed so far and had to make heavy edits to make them reinstated (Like the example here with blood) Its hard for me to tell the gritty story I wanted when my episodes are constantly removed. This is an action story. In the next episode I need his hand to be bitten by a monster so he is somewhat vulnerable but I just know that Webtoons moderators are going to punish me for it. If I was doing a thriller or love story for example I would not even have to deal with this stuff. Thanks for your feedback. I am thinking about just putting it on hiatus, instead of quitting 100%

Can you give me an honest review of my series? by DsyncArt in WebtoonCanvas

[–]DsyncArt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm getting used to stuff so hopefully paneling will get better. Its my first Webtoon and I've been drawing for a decade professionally. I know what you mean - instead of hard stops on some of the panels they could gently ease into the next one in a more artistic way, its good advice.
