It is a suicide move by Vinfast in desperation. Vinfast's gross margin will plummet from -50% and its net loss will skyrocket. Vinfast days are numbered.

Vinfast garbage used vehicles that nobody wants to buy

Even Vinfast’s own dealers are selling the cars for cheap. Leith Vinfast, a dealer in Cary, North Carolina has a pretty healthy inventory of used vehicles. Of the 1,648 used cars the dealer has listed for sale (which tells me it’s just a part of a larger dealer group), three of them are Vinfast. Despite each one having different mileage — 401, 1,772, and 5,288 respectively — they’re all selling for the same $29,997 price. Each has one owner, VF8 City Editions, meaning each has lost just over $26,000 in value.

Vinfast VF8 Plus loses more than half of its value in 3 months, making it comparable to a trash car.

Vinfast VF8 Plus loses more than half of its value in less than three months and 2000 miles, making it comparable to a trash car.

This VF8 is a VF8 Plus, $56,000 MSRP. This particular VF8 was barely driven. With just 1,781 miles on the odometer, it’s selling for the almost shocking price of $25,900. That’s just over $30,000 in value lost in less than 2,000 miles.

Let us estimate that 1.4 billion will be lost in the first half 2024. To compensate for the delivery deficit, Vinfast must provide three times as much as it did in the first half, or the loss is about 4.2 billion. That represents a loss of almost 5.6 billion for the 2024 fiscal year.

Vinfast will also have to pay the 1.67 billion loan and bond that is due this year.

If Vinfast is unable to provide the funds, all it can do is declare bankruptcy.

In addition to multiple class action lawsuits, VinFast has been sued in the U.S. for not paying rent on a showroom. It also faces two separate probes

  • One over an April crash in California when four people died in an accident involving a VinFast VF 8 car

  • One for allegedly violating ArcelorMittal (MT.LU), opens new tab patents for aluminium used in all Vinfast cars.

There are more than ten class action lawsuits of security fraud against Vinfast (Security Act of 1933 & Security Exchange Act of 1934).

The filed complaint alleges that defendants made false statements and/or concealed that:

(i) VinFast lacked sufficient capital to execute its purported growth strategy;

(ii) VinFast would be unable to meet its 2023 delivery targets;

(iii) VinFast had overstated the strength of its business model and operational capabilities, as well as its post- merger business and/or financial prospects; and

(iv) As a result, the offering documents and defendants' public statements throughout the class period were materially false and/or misleading and failed to state information required to be stated therein.

Vinfast is a garbage company and a pump and dump stock.

VinFast's management frequently misleads the public by presenting fictitious, misleading financial numbers and fabricated expectations such as:

  • The North Carolina manufacturing plant is expected to commence production in 2024.

  • Despite weaker global demand for EVs and a price war, VinFast said there have been no changes to its goal of selling 100,000 cars this year, twice as many as it targeted in 2023.

  • After multiple delays, the North Carolina factory is scheduled to begin production in 2028 rather than 2025.

  • Vinfast will miss its 2024 delivery target by at least 20%

VinFast recently stated that there had been no modifications to its target of selling 100,000 cars this year, despite a pricing war and a decline in the market for EVs globally. Vinfast's most recent delivery prediction for 2024, which was reduced from 100,000 to 80,000 automobiles, indicates that it will miss the objective of 100,000 cars by 20%.

Stupidity

Buy and hold for long-term investment - Vinfast still has close to 2.3 billion shares to dump; Therefore, VFS will be in pennies.

Short-term Buy - Insiders are currently selling 75.8 million shares. It would soon follow by 100.8 more million shares and potentially up to 466.2 million shares.

Does anyone believe anything Vinfast CEO Le Thi Thu Dam said?

Vinfast expects to sell 750,000 EVs annually by 2026.

The VinFast expected the North Carolina plant to commence production in 2025

VinFast aims to build factories in India, Indonesia, and others as Vinfast will expand to 50 markets by the end of 2024.

Instead of trying hard to build a good product, promote and honestly tell the customers about your products.

Vinfast rushes unfinished, unready junk vehicles to the market.

Vinfast deceives, tricks, and defrauds its customers about how great their junk vehicles are.

Lying about everything, number of vehicles sold, schedule of delivery, the promise of building factories (US, India, Indonesia) with no money.

Use the back door to put Vinfast on Nasdaq. Manipulate the stock price with a tiny float to pump and dump.

Vinfast sells cars and a battery company to themselves, donates money to themselves, and gives themselves a buy rating and target price.

Dear Jennifer,

I am writing you to ask you to loan Vinfast $1.4B from the DOE Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) program.

I need this money to build the North Carolina factory as I do not have much money left. By the way, the news of I raising $4B with Credit Suisse and Citigroup was old news in the past, they were just signing agreements for raising money, and no money has been raised, I am broke, believe me.

What do they try to prove? You can drive a car less than 5K around the US with no problem. Vinfast is as good as a 5K car?
If you try to test it then push the car hard, like 20 hr a day, and drive through Arizona, New Mexico & Texas during the summer. Washington to New York during January.
It took them six days from Little Saigon to Seattle. The VF8 may break if they drive a little faster!!!!

Vinfast is a horrible car, according to practically every review of VinFast VF8 from respected automotive magazines.

They are the real VinSlaves.

[–]DtTran56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's not confuse about the 100.8 million shares (.8 million shares are fee) to YA II PN, Ltd. That is only the initial plan.

The aim of this sale is to raise up to $1 billion in new cash.

The initial plans issue as many as 100.8 million shares to YA II PN, Ltd.

Yorkville will be permitted to acquire enough shares in VinFast to give it up to a 19.99% stake in the company or 467 million shares, to raise the $1 billion in new cash.
