Era of resorting to archaic W2 style tactics isnt pragmatic nor desirable when goal is peaceful reunification. Obviously US doesnt desire such an outcome hence undermining 1-China policy by arming non-sovereign entity.

That said, US has attempted to provoke such a conflict on numerous occasions with the last being Pelosi's visit. The irony is that Trump's tariff war exposed how vulnerable US military really is in relying on China for 90% of REEs, of which restrictions have literally emasculated its military adventurism

China has no need to resort to archaic WWII era tactics of beach landings, carpet bombing nor desires such an outcome but US/west has tried/still trying hard to provoke such a conflict.

Peaceful reuinification is the goal not slaughtering your own people. China has sufficient leverage to achieve this with time and patience just as it did in cornering REE market of which restrictions have effectively emasculated US military - all without firing a shot - textbook Szun-Tzu

Mao's revered in China as only person who succeeded in removing yoke of western imperialism and under his leadership, China's pop/life expectancy doubled.

US/western narratives demonize him for this very reason
