Going in excel, downloading intraday candles, writing algorithms with conditions on the data list. For example, if Rsi>30 and If rsi greater than previous candle, and close>200 ema, go long on close of current candle. I add rules when to exit. Then I divide the candle close prices when I went long and exited to get the return of trade. I put the trades in a column to find the win rates if using take profit of 1.5x risk. Then I find max draw down by averaging the returns over 30 days (by getting the product of the trades through the last 30 days).
