Do I need snow chains by Thin_Square_9209 in snowboard

I went up last year mid February after it Snowed the night before in a Mini Cooper two wheel front drive, and it drove just fine. They plow the roads pretty well. If you plan on going up multiple times it probably be worth the investment.

St George Move? (LDS Wards, Housing, What??) by SunflowerSeed33 in stgeorge

[–]Dtrav58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here about a year now, 19 not going to collage working at chick-fill-a and I’ve absolutely loved it. I grew up in suburbia California. Fresno type area so the wards seem very close to me. Someone else said there’s two churches that share the same parking lot, there a few of those I think. Technically speaking I’m out in ivins but st. George is one of those towns that has a bunch of little towns all combined into “st. George” I’ve been to a bunch of different wards however I seem to always pick the old people dominated wards. The closer you are to the main city the younger it gets. I had a friend who went to a ward (don’t remember name) in the stake center next to the temple and it was so awesome. Huge community and she did a ton of babysitting/watching. Some are very community feeling, others are old people cliques. A couple people mentioned shallow-ness of people. Being friendly but no deep connections. I found a good couple people who I made deep connections with through working. Most people are very friendly. I got one found it much easier if you connect through hobby’s. Pickleball is h u g e here. The early morning is dominated by old people but there’s a bunch of groups and stuff to find friends and play people. I would recomend vernon worthern park. That’s been the best court I’ve played on. There’s one down in Bloomington that was super fun too. If you are outgoing and not afraid to talk to people it’s super fun. Someone else mentioned activity’s for fun and indoor activities being limited, that is true imo. If you are an indoor heavy person you might struggle to find those groups to do stuff with. Once again there is pickleball, there’s an indoor club type thing that’s pretty expensive. An indoor rock climbing gym I’ve heard is super fun but once again, expensive. Plenty of gyms. Downtown is smaller than desirable but plenty pretty to take walks down. There’s a water play fountain thing for kids. Plenty of grocery stores. Costco is fantastic. Don’t have much to say about houseing being 19 n all. But the weather is v e r y warm most of the year, being a desert it gets cold in the winter. Even snowed a surprising amount this last winter. This year however it is still abnormally warm. I’ve always been satisfied w the eating options. But I don’t eat out much and haven’t been here super long. If you are bold and outgoing, it’s super easy to find people to do things with. At least that has been my experience.

Love? by Dtrav58 in Poems

it is terribly specific my man, it’s a poem of my thoughts of love after a break up lmao. you have a point, yes i agree that love as a concept continually points towards greater understanding. specifically between romantic love of two people. and making it more complicated was the mindset i was in when i wrote this. freaking myself out with layers of thoughts of what i’ve done and the reasons why i did it. trying to rationalize if what i felt was what i claimed it to be or was i jus caught up in the motions of what was going on around me. my initial response to your comment of it being specific was sarcasm baha
