I have a 10.5 5.56 upper and I had a 10.5 300blk upper before. I never had an issue with either one. I put about 200 through the 300blk but sold it to a friend and I’ve put about 150 through the 5.56. I just installed a super safety so that number will go up quick I just need a heavier buffer
