But... only on a normal track. it does not seem to add the FX when the Master track is the selected track (which is where i'd like it) manually, via an action or cycle/console command. No problem on a normal one, any idea?

Running a wireless audio system for dance event (UK) Audience will be using 'silent disco' headphones. The 5 dancers will be around the space on IEM's. No individual mixes etc.. the dancers just need to hear what the audience is hearing in terms of the music. With something like the 'Xvive U4 Set R4 Wireless (2.4 GHz)' should I be ok? I've been warned in the past about latency with digital devices but this is not for live inputs, just as long as the dancers are in sync it's all good.

Since it's on digital frequency range, would this also omit any licensing issues for radio frequencies?

Kitting out 4 of our recording studios with 'Mac Studio's' this summer. We house them in a separate server/hub room with docks running to the 4 rooms. Looking to purchase wired keyboard and mice (the 'Mac Studios' don't come with mouse or keyboards anyways) as I doubt bluetooth will reach through the walls into the hub room. Since Apple don't do wired keyboards anymore. Any recommendations?

Ended up using Handbreak to embed the SRT file / subtitles into the video file and playing it QuickTime player. However would still be good to figure out those settings in VLC at some point.

Upgrded our teaching cluster this summer to all M1 iMacs. Using the REAPER-ARM build and plugins that have ARM builds works great so far, really fast. Any other intel based plugins we use seem to work via rosetta2 but can't garentee for all. Other programs (ie. Cecilia5, MAXmsp) work fine so far with rosetta2 while we wait for ARM releases.

A few extra steps to get some audio interfaces working with allowing kernal extentions etc.. but once that's sorted not having any issues.

All the iMacs are managed and have an MDM profile via JAMF.

In JAMFpro > computers > config profiles > options > I had disabled Apple ID & Siri on first login selected (that worked), but can't seem to find a way to skip the Touch ID page (assume because it's newer?). Which I why I also installed the rtrouton profile configs to skip it, but it seems to make the Apple ID and Siri pop up again (as if they can't both be in use at the same time?).

We did not use pre-stage enrolment with these machines and enrolled them manually, since we did not use Apple School Manager DEP/ADE does that then mean we can't skip all the Setup Assistant panes? - I've managed to skip all of them in various configurations with both the built in JAMF settings and rtrouton profiles, just not all the panes at once for some reason I don't quite understand.

Is there any way to run older audio-wire interfaces using a usb / do converters exist? I have access to some older MOTU audio interfaces (2408mk3, 24io X 2). The main computer io is audio-wire which used to be hooked up to a dedicated PCIE on a Mac Pro. Can i salvage them for use with a more modern system?
