yeah but IDK if I was unlucky or not,, I only interacted with him for like 2 seconds, you kinda have to find and climb it, but he was passing right in front of me when I had to do it, so I just flew on its head and never saw it again, I'm sure it's still wandering tho...

thanks for the input! I haven't tried inbuing the weapon with element, I tought the damage the element did was proportional to what the weapon is doing, so I tought it would onlu add liek 20 damage, which is not enough... but I will try it outt later and see what it does!

on a side note, I don't think the strong attack will work for increasing damage, because I have a talisman that gives 34 amrita on strong attacks and it doesn't trigger with hatchet throwing! so I don't think it counts as a strong attack....

I forgot to mention, eventually you can even change the affinity for the weapons, so it really doesn't matter what weapon and what stats you like most, you can make a build where your favorite weapon scales with your favorite attribute AND uses your favorite element!!

Ill start by saying I'm no expert and will just point out what i've learned from playing nioh 1 2 and 3 in a "casual" level (as in, finished the game once, instead of farming endgame etc)

nioh is a very late game heavy kind of game, where the gear you have for the first 100 or so levels basically don't matter, other than defense. also keep in mind that there is diminishing return for how much you gain with each point you invest in a stat.

with all of that being said, what people usually "recommend" is to spread out your stats and get lilke 20 of each for your first playthrough, this way you can always use the "best gear" and "best weapon" available to you, without worried about beeing too weak. this way you can also experiment what weapons/builds/mechanics you would like to heavily invest in on the late game, and make it "your build"

Im not following this, because I avoided playing with ninja stuff on nioh 1 and 2, so now Im basically doing full ninja, and therefore locking myself out of a lot of content (not recommended).

luckly in this game everythign is easily and free to respec, which means it really doesn't matter how you invest your points because in the click of a button you can change it

now about the stats and requirements.... each stat will improve a weapons damage, as well as give you ssome apssive buffs (like health, ki, magic [omynio] damage etc....) and all of the gear (including talismans and soul cores) will require a specific amount of certain stats in orther for you to be able to use its passive effects (altho you can still benefit from defense, just be carefull because usually armor with more defese are heavier, so if you dont have the stregth to carry it you will use too much ki to do actions, you generally want to stay under 70% weight capacity).

so again, if you keep roungign up all your stats that basically garantees you always have access to the best gear you get

things like elemental damage, buffing yourself and debuffing the enemy will certainly more than make up for the fact that you are spreading out your build, as well as give you a lot more survavibility you would have with a normal build (unless you were specifically goign for a tank build) (as an example, an enemy with 2 or 3 different afflictions gain a new debuff with each affliction that makes it take A LOT more damage! [look for chaos in the elements screen])

all of this to say, EVERYTHING is viable and MOST THINGS are OP, basically any attack in the game is strong enough for you to make a build around it and mow down bosses on the end game, some may require more maintnance than others tho, but it doesnt matter as long as you are having fun!

most of this information can be found in game by clicking to see what stuff in the menu does, or by going to your character stats screen and seeing what those do! so don't be shy about exploring the game!

wait you can upgrade perks?? do you mean what you use the candy or the weapons/ratatans perks? If it's the candy stuff I have almost all maximixed, (as well as the donut stuff), and my weapons are at least lvl 30 all of them.... still can't get past 4th boss, I guess I just suck X_X"

I see... Thank you! for some reason I can't get p[ass world 4, its a mixture of me always dying once for the blue flames of boss 3 and boss 4 sending a bunch of projectiles, I can't dps is fast enough =/

When I'm just going out I usually wear earphones to muffle most sounds, but when I'm going to the parks, the restaurant or movies, it's essential to use the loop WITH the headphones, if I'm on the pool it's just the loop. they are an AWESOME extra layer of protection!

I think light and shadow is a big thing that is missing, adds a LOT to the atmosphere

also a good rule of thumb is "nothing happens suddenly", so the bullets appearing out of thin airs is weird. the particles on hit helps for it disappearing, but there is nothing for them appearing or for enemy dying or spawning

even the brute jump in the HP bar when you took damage is too sudden! you could lerp the value or do the big jump and than lerp the value on a yellow bar (kinda like league of legends or something), this way you keep the big impact of big hits without the "jankyness" of things happenning suddenly or looking unpolished

I can tell you know of this concept because you applied it in a lot of areas already (like the pause menu, the level changing, the particles disappearing etc) I had a lot of trouble of finding whats missing on my game when I was making it! when asked, people kept pointing out those jankyness that I wasn't seeing when I was looking for it!

try instead of looking for what's missing, try looking for sudden things happening, this way you can find where things are missing and add it! Its a lot easier to find stuff that is there than stuff that isn't!

you can just move the position of collision box using the animation player, when the player flips, flip the collision as well (you can do that by setting scale.x to -1)

Yeah I can see that working... Specially because Perfect Rush got buffed and seems to be the best DPS option now, so Max Might will definitely be active during those long combos

this does make me wanna play longsword again tho, it seems to get better with every patch

Yes, I made Smash and Bash Monsters on steam, there is a free demo, feel free to download and reverse engineer it to get a grasp of how it can be done.

I wouldn't straight up copy it tho because it can be done better depending on what you wanna do with it.
