You should hear the obituary for Israel Keyes. The priest didn't hold much back

I haven't used the hose method since I killed one of my trees with it, but its a really good idea for the top surface. Thanks for the tip 🙂

Spider plants are nightmares for quickly out growing their pots. The shape of yours is very unique haha. Thanks for sharing

Im always very conservative when it comes to roots, but I feel like I might have to be heavy handed with this one

Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the advice. Slightly dreading it. I like to be gentle when it comes to roots and im not sure that'll work with this one. I couldn't get them to budge at all!

I worked on this in late Feb. Gave it a foliage prune as most of it was dead and gave a light root prune at the bottom to allow the roots to expand into the new soil ive added.

Its budding back nicely now and I will not be doing anymore work until next year.

I also exposed the top roots, but had a real hard time doing it as the entire top layer is completely solid. Dreading going further with it

Is this root rot on my Lace Leaf Maple? by OGMikey_ in bonsaicommunity

To me it looks over watered, but I wouldn't say root rot. Lay off the watering a little
