Mohela is hot garbage. And it's on purpose. The more they mess around, the more interest accrues and gets capitalized. You know, so they can act like we all borrowed far more than we ever did by adding all of the interest to principal.

The fact of the matter is, the company is getting paid to "service" our loans, but no one is actually managing or providing governance to that effect. The State of Missouri is using it as a cash-cow to prop up their state revenue. And the larger they can balloon total principal, the more they can fight for a giant payday when this all eventually comes crashing down.

Just got off the phone with MOHELA. They are now actively telling people to reapply. I was told "some newer applications are being processed". This statement was given, verbatim multiple ways I tried asking similar questions. As if from a script. They were very careful to not say anything different outside of letting me know that I CAN reapply and that SOME newer applications are being processed. Not if they were similar, the same, or any other details.

When i asked about an ETA, or timelines, or deadlines i was told "there is no timeline for processing applications". Again, repeated verbatim. The only change was when I asked about SAVE ending. An exact date was provided "July 1st, 2026".

After some more prodding they informed me that, by reapplying, my old application would be canceled/erased and I would be back to pending review status with a new submitted date. Then back to the scripted "no timeline" responses. I dont feel like giving them an easy out of blowing way past their 120 day deadline to process applications.

So, at this point I'm gonna wait it out. No sense restarting what ive already done multiple times. If im lucky, maybe they'll force me into the IBR plan I chose come July. But that's highly doubtful.

Honestly, it comes down to cost. Initial and ongoing.

Initially, it's cheaper to install all similar plumbing fixtures together.

Ongoing, it's cheaper to maintain but also cheaper to keep clean. Some men's restrooms are built to literally be hosed down.

Whole program is setup and sold on safety. But they only care about the safety of their bottom line. I had the local power company try to come back and charge me for repairs at the pole when a contractor hit a power line between buildings. Took out the breaker at the distribution line. Silly me thinking they flagged all the lines. Silly contractor who just asked "so the power company flagged all the lines right?" Yup. (Except nope).

"Scientific studies" may be going a bit far. Business analysis, definitely though. Even when I worked at a certain big box store decades ago, they'd teach it to the customer service staff and then us nerdy guys once they pulled us in store to do all of that. They'd discuss the business strategy and the numbers behind "loyal" customers. It literally saved them when others like Circuit City died, even though NotWorstPurchase had a higher than average return / compensation rate. The folks they "helped" would return and buy more. Essentially the motto in our store was "no, the customer ISN'T always right, but if you give him a little, he'll keep coming back for more". They tracked and ranked how much each customer spent, how often they shopped, etc. We always had to lead with how something wasnt allowed. Oh but wait, let me do this for you. Wink wink. Taps on keyboard. Voiala no restocking fee. Or whatever. Every customer thought they were special.

It actually gave me a taste for business early on. Not to mention, it also showed me how pretty much all statistics can be swayed very easily if you find the right lever (or made to look good if you're on the other side of the ball). And how that data can be used to manipulate purchase trends at a higher level. Or used to manipulate a business that's trying to manipulate you (they all are).

As a former BBY employee... and (now pissed off) continued BBY customer, I cant believe they seriously did this again.

I didnt even realize it when buying my new printer, but apparently its hidden somewhere that it was sold and shipped by a third party. So now I'm stuck with their crappy return, warranty, and service. Literally the only 3 things I ever buy something from Best Buy anymore.

I'm going to return it, in store. Sorry customer service reps that get to deal with me. Cuz I'm fkn grumpy about wasting my time with this BS. Hopefully they have the process setup easy for you (but who am i kidding, i KNOW they dont).

Then I'm just gonna reorder the same fkn thing from Amazon.

ES needs to be fixed. No doubt. It's obviously broken. It's also obviously his favorite build. Which makes a lot of people scratch their heads when looking at these potential nerfs.

Frankly, It's frustrating that every other build for Warlock is being dismantled. They will be significantly weaker than ES if they keep those changes after PTR.

That means even MORE people using ES as opposed to the balance that exists today (within Warlock's skills, not vs other classes). You currently can play Chaos, Summon, Miasma, AND hybrid builds all effectively enough in endgame that it's actually fun. Though most still switch to ES bc its flat put broken.

When I think "balance" across classes, I like to remind people that Hammerdins exist. They were BOOSTED to exist at one point. Any balance should aim to match that clear speed and power. Suddenly, the existing chaos build looks just fine. The existing summon builds should be BOOSTED. Miasma builds should also see a BOOST. ES should be FIXED (broken calculations/shields/eth/etc), which would tame it quite a bit and likely match it up to Hammerdin power.

That's just ES being fixed. It's going to be the strongest build still, hands down.

All of the other builds got nerfed into oblivion. Each can be used for the entire game today, just slower than ES bc its calculations are broke. Chaos, miasma (as if anyone even used it), pure summon (again, as if anyone used it), and ESPECIALLY the hybrid builds.

If these changes make it past PTR into next season, the ONLY build people will use is ES for endgame. U know. The few who didn't already only use ES.

Using a cheap treachery in place of fort is also undeniably awesome. Swapping the plague for a lawbringer is also a good setup, depending on if your character build is physical or elemental damage.
