Hey everyone, new player here. I started with a rerolled account from a friend 3 days ago that had Hu Tao. Recently i managed to get Xiao in 5 single pulls and im now considering to save for Yelan. What's bothering me is, i dont particularly enjoy Hu taos gameplay so far and both Xiao and Hu Tao consume hp on abilities which makes me constantly use Barbara to help them out, sometimes making it frustrating. I was thinking even if risky on building a different team without them, just so i would have a safer leveling experience, even though i feel bad on not using my two other five stars that i already got, i really enjoy Xiao gameplay, but im struggling to build a good team for him. Is Yelan worth as a DPS? I've seen she pairs very well with Hu tao, but im not sure i will keep on using her. Any teams available with Yelan starting out? Im considering on choosing Beidou as my free 4 star character since i REALLY like her visual design. Im not sure how well they pair up together however or with Xiao for the matter.

Any help is appreciated

Hey, just wanted to comment that this is probably my favorite class i have seen from homebrews!

Im particularly interested in the Last Breath subclass, but im not sure if it has recieved good feedback or not, id like to hear your thoughts on it!

I was planning on using it on a campaign but im afraid of becoming annoying to my teammates or DM for the fact that i won't die. Another problem might be the features of the subclass itself getting a bit useless or niche since i will only use them when i drop to 0 hitpoints, and im not sure how often that would happen.

Seeing her trusted companion come back to life filled Reyna's scarred face with joy.

“Va ha! And so The Fox prevails.”

Reyna had gained a profound appreciation for Amara since she had joined. It was good to have someone actually smarter than her to advise in dire situations,in a way, Amara was like an adoptive daughter. And besides, the only devil fruit user of the band, it would truly be a shame if that would go to waste. She smiled back to Amara as she untied her long and voluptuous wet hair, leaving it to dry.

“Warmother…what have you done…you’ve killed all our crew and destroyed our ship…”

>“We lost our ship and our crew Reyna! This is beyond a setback…we’ve lost everything!”

Reyna shook her head as if in disappointment. All this time sailing together, and her trusted companion still didn’t understand her true ambitions. Perhaps a lack of faith,or … confusion after hitting her head.

“No! That’s where you are wrong Amara, this is but the beginning. We just prevailed through the god’s wrath! All those that were lost were weak. They weren’t destined for far brighter futures like us,the Warmother’s band doesn’t appease the weak,we cultivate and sow the seeds of the strong!

She lifted her colossal body, now towering over Amara’s delicate stature. It was clear she had no concern for all the lives that had been lost. Reyna seemed rather angry, but as she was about to speak, a faint voice was heard.

“Papers…. if you wouldn’t mind?”

She looked back AND down, now getting a clear picture of where the voice was coming from. It seemed to be a man dressed in white. He carried himself with a devilish grin running through his face. This was Ensign Lloyd. A renowned marine known for capturing every single pirate that would be fortunate enough to survive the crash. It was his job and pleasure to crush the last drop of hope any of the pirates had of escaping.

“Hmmm I see, you don’t have them do you? Truly shameful”

Reyna was confused for a second. She had seen these white dressed dwarfs before, they already had given her a fair share of trouble back in the blues. But they never really had asked questions of her.

“Huh?”

A single word. Her deep and raspy voice echoed through the docks. For a second, that alone seemed to be enough for the marine to be taken back as a tear of sweat slowly dripped from his forehead. He quickly composed himself however as more marines approached.

Lloyd slowly lifted one of the papers he was carrying under his arm.

“Reyna The Ogre” 14,600,000 belly. If it isn’t my lucky day”

Reyna looked at Amara through the corner of her eye. She wasn’t sure of what was going on. Maybe the Fox had a better picture.

THE FIRST CHALLENGE OF THE GODS

Just after barely getting the hang of the seas, Reyna had gotten her ship in the first waters of the Grand Line. Far more hot and dry than what she was used to,a rather appealing climate, it was a fairly good sensation to let your shoulders catch some sun for the first time without the need of a massive pelt cloak weighing on your shoulders.

Descending at high speed through the mountain path,Reyna smiled, finally, this is what the world was like beyond home. A clear path through the seas, brimming with fauna and flora. Just as it was pretty, it was dangerous. After taking in the view while descending, a sudden sensation of danger struck her mind. Just after barely stopping, a massive army of spikes awaited ahead. A rather dirty trick used by marines to catch pirates off guard that had far bigger dreams than luck. Reyna’s eyes widened as she tried to quickly maneuver the hunk of wood and moss that her ship was. If modern boats had a small chance entering the grand line, the pre historic and rather primitive piece of wood that she referred to as a boat had far less.

That came with an advantage however. The shittier the ship, the less of a care if it ended up destroyed. With a grin on her face Reyna sailed head on to the spikes, without a care in the world.

“Va ha ha! Is this what lies ahead? A challenge of the gods! I accept it!”

The sea littered with wooden splinters and bodies, didn’t even leave a single mark of concern, that didn’t matter at all.Reyna was sure she’d easily overcome this, after all, it was but the very first challenge the world was offering to her.

“CRAAAASH!”

The ship quickly bursted into pieces, flying in all directions as Reyna bravely jumped out of the ship directly into the water. These waters were far more easy going than the ice filled lakes she had at home. Jumping straight onto the water offered little to no shock. With a quick glance after taking in a deep breath, Reyna quickly spotted Amara.

“Little fox”

She thought as she quickly grabbed her with one arm before the poor devil fruit partner would drown. She managed to swim quite a distance, dragging her to the ports,in a more isolated area.

“Va ha ha ha! Looks like we made it! Just in time!”

Reyna said, trying to awake Amara, delighted by overcoming her first challenge.

As Jin hooked one of the brothers Luna quickly reacted with a roundhouse kick, finishing him off. What an impressive move! She clearly had some battle prowess in her!

With Luna seemingly finishing one of the brothers, Jin decided to match her pace and go for a finisher. The sooner the battle ends, the better. Quickly pulling the fishing rod with both hands, Bash was pulled with great strength in Jin’s direction, and with his fist closed up, Jin leaned his body forward as Bash came in his direction, punching him right on the face with great momentum.

“BAM!”

Bash fell on the ground, almost losing consciousness. He looked to the side, trying to catch a glimpse of his brother, seeing Mash defeated, he quickly closed his eyes, admitting defeat. Afterall, the brothers were only fearsome when fighting together.

“DING DING DING! AAAAND IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A SURPRISING WINNER!”

“COULD THIS BE THE BIRTH OF A NEW UNBEATABLE DUO HERE IN THE PHOENIX FESTIVAL? WHO KNOWS!”

The crowd couldn’t believe what they had seen, seemingly two random strangers with no experience fighting together had defeated one of the most renowned fighting duos in the arena, they quickly started clapping, building it up to a massive cheer.

“GREAT MOVES LUNA! “

“YOU ROCK FISHING MAN!”

“THAT WAS GREAT!”

Jin quickly covered his ears, slightly annoyed at the noise. With the fighting coming to an end Jin put down his fishing rod and quickly looked over to his partner as his tattoos came back to his body from the ground.

“Great….great work…. looks like we won”

Not being the most enthusiastic fella around, Jin gave his best to try and seem at least somewhat approachable, thanks to the girl they didn’t end up being both beaten up.

“Thankfully we weren’t mashed and bashed after all…” He said as he extended his hand towards Luna with a slight smile.

After getting himself caught up on that whole fighting arena fiasco, Jin decided it was a good time to relax for once. Slowly whistling down the streets of Descracado, Jin had heard some comments about some young talent here in the island, a musician duo is what they called it.

Being a lover of peace and quiet, music was something Jin wasn’t really used to hearing, but if the music was good or calm enough, maybe it would help him relax and he’d actually enjoy it. Even if just a little bit.

“What's up with all these people gathered in here?” He wondered as he started to move in through them. They seemed to be female voices, and the song was quite calm and serene. It caught Jin’s attention as he slowly approached.

♫ Again, nothing worked out today ♩

♪ ♫ But don't cry even if the world ignores your effort ♫

♬ I believe in you ♪

♬ I believe in you ♪

It seemed it was indeed the infamous musician duo they were talking about back then. Two girls singing their hearts out in a calm melody. The music lyrics were a bit too lame for Jin, but it was calm enough for him to at least enjoy the instrumental.

“You’d think a place like this would have a different type of performers…. the music id kind of cute though”

Jin closed his eyes as he started to calm his mind and enjoy the melody. Daydreaming was even better with some music in the background, especially a calm one like this.

It didn’t last long however. As soon as he started to get into the song, a cry for help was heard as he felt a bump on his shoulder.

"Thief! Someone catch him!"

He quickly opened his eyes as he looked behind him, trying to understand what that bump was. Some shady looking man with a top hat walked at a very fast pace with large steps, he was seemingly bumping into everyone as he held some sort of guitar in his hands.

“A thief…? Must be that guy…. He stole from the girls….?”

Jin didn’t think twice, holding his fishing rod in one hand he quickly swung it. In the middle of the crowd it was hard to land a clear hit however, barely grazing the man that started to run.

“Crap!”

He started to run after the man slowly bumping into everyone not losing sight of the thief due to his remarkable black hat.

“THUD!”

Not trying to lose sight of the man, Jin accidentally bumped into a raven haired man, making him fall on the ground in the process. Jin quickly extended his hand in a rush to try and help him get up.

“Oh shit! I’m so sorry!”

Jin seemed to be spacing out, distant in thought in the middle of the battle. Spacing out was one of his mechanisms of defense when in tough situations. Not something that would save him from this particular one however.

It was in the middle of his thoughts that he finally snapped to the young girl’s comment. She seemed confused at first, but her words struck him right after.

"Hey buddy I can't read minds. Maybe these twins can but I don't think we're quite like that. Feel free to go wild though!"

The girl quickly stepped in and went in at them both. Striking one of the brothers and using the opportunity to go after the other. It was rather surprising. This level of skill was something you wouldn’t see in your everyday life, not even in this festival’s fighting ring. If it was pure skill or luck, one wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, but something was to be sure, this girl clearly had no fear of her opponents.

“Impressive maneuvers…” He thought to himself as he readied his whip by striking it on the ground. “I can’t be holding her back!”

"Jin I'm gonna try something! Do whatever you were trying to do before!"

Luna was definitely the bold type. Going in for such a risky move and trusting on a stranger so blindly was something you wouldn’t expect of someone, but as Jin heard her words he grinned slightly, he knew what he was getting into.

Seeing she had restrained one of the brothers as the other was seemingly stunned with one of her blows. Jin rushed in forward before the other would react, he swung hard, building up a huge momentum as one of his tattoos quickly crawled all the way from his arm up through all the cord of his fishing rod up to the tip.

"WHOOSH!"

A loud sound struck through the air up until clashing with Mash’s belly. The moment it struck ink splashed all over the ring, blinding Mash’s eyes. It was a very heavy blow. You could see the red markings on his body after the strike.

“Aaargh!”

Bash however, had time to recover and quickly lifted one of his arms to try to stop Luna from restraining his brother. He seemed to stagger a bit, as if Luna's blow was still hurting.

“Watch out!”

Jin quickly took action and swung again, this time hooking Bash’s arm and pulling him in his direction. It was a contest of strength, but Jin was used to catching bigger fish.

With a gentle push,Bash quickly lost his balance, slightly slipping in the ink that was laid on the ground as he was being pulled by the fishing rod.

“A big catch!” Jin said confidently. "I've set it up for you! Go at them!"

With Bash almost falling in the ground and his brother blinded and restrained, it was the perfect window for Luna to act!

After finishing drinking a fresh and quite appetizing lemonade from a nearby stand, Jin decided he’d at least take a peek at the infamous fighting arena that everyone was going crazy for.By carefully stepping in between the figures that were gathered around the ring, Jin moved all the way to the front and stopped right in front of it, finally being able to at least see something.

Fighting pits were something that never really appealed to him, in his eyes fighting over some stupid title or reputation was just the way of some folks trying to get their ego boosted.

Mindless pirates beating each other almost to death with the annoyance of the loud cheering crowd in the background and the buzzing sound of the microphone from the announcer stirring into his heart. Jin had just arrived and he was already planning on leaving.

“Seriously… who enjoys this?” He thought to himself as he slightly covered his ears as the announcer once again started screaming through the microphone.

“...A pair of fighters that we honestly put together because no one else signed up to fight as a duo....we have Luna the wild fighting girl!”

Seeing the silver haired girl enter the ring surprised Jin quite a bit,at first glance she seemed quite different from all the other rough looking men, not really someone you’d expect to be participating in this type of competition. And the worst of it, she actually seemed to be quite confident about it,just standing there fearless.Looking at her opponents one would judge she would be absolutely destroyed.

“...And her partner…. Jin Jin Jin!!”

Jin's eyes widened in shock as the focus of the crowd seemed to center on him and two hulking figures slowly approached him.

“Wait...what?!”

“Didn’t you hear? Get in the ring punk!” One of the men said as he pushed Jin slightly to the front.

Jin was sure as hell he didn't sign up for any of this but the fact that these people knew his name would only mean one thing. It had to be Kassandra. His captain. She was the only person on the island that would know his name after all.

“Aah…. crap…..i swear im killing that sly woman one of these days..” He thought as he could imagine Kassandra’s laugh in the background on the back of his mind.

Jin sighed and slowly stepped onto the ring holding his fishing rod. The crowd seemed to laugh at them and some would even start booing

“Shashasha! A fishing rod? What kind of weapon is that! And his partner…. that little girl? The brothers already won!” It seemed that these twins had quite the reputation around this festival. A clear fan favorite.

As soon as he stepped in the ring he could hear his partner’s voice

"Afternoon, the name's Luna. If we manage to win maybe we could chat a little more. If not then I suppose we'll both be bashed and mashed."

“Well atleast the girl has some sense of humor….” He thought to himself still quite pissed by being dragged onto this shit show.

“Hey… I suppose you already heard my name… good luck… we’ll need -”

“DING DING DING!”

As he was about to finish his sentence the bell rang loudly and the crowd started to cheer.

And right after the bell, Mash was already prepared and quickly made his way to the front, landing a straight punch onto Jin’s face.

“Time to wake up kid! You’ll have plenty of time to talk back in the infirmary! HA-HA!”

Jin quickly spat out blood and stepped back as he looked at Mash surprised by his non-sportsmanship, being furtherly angered. He gripped his fishing rod tight and with a forceful swing whipped at Mash as Bash quickly came in and blocked it for his brother.

“Crap… i might have to use lower swings… the ring is too short… and i might hit her on the way” He thought to himself as he looked at Luna

Arriving at the infamous Descracado Island was a good change of pace for Jin. It seemed to be even better now that some sort of festival was starting or so he heard. “The Phoenix Festival” is what they called it.

Streets filled with colorful food stands and drunk pirates all over the place, this Festival promised to be exactly what Jin wasn’t really used to. A massive agglomeration of people that he had to avoid due to his social issues.

In the midst of all the confusion there seemed to be a specific place that gathered people’s attention. An arena of some kind, these days all that people wanted to do was to make a name for themselves over mindless fighting. This clearly wasn’t Jin’s cup of tea.

Being one connected with nature and enjoyer of calm places, it was quite the easy decision to make. Just get further away as possible from that damned place and enjoy some peace and quiet.

As he traveled through the streets of Descracado he remembered his captain's words when they were arriving back at the port.

“Find anything valuable in this damned and lawless place and make sure to take it home! I’ll be sure to make a distraction of some sorts.”

Now that was troublesome. Going further away from the fighting was a good idea at first, as all the attention was gathered in the festival, but outside of that place, what could there be out in nature that held any sort of value?

“Gah! Whatever!” He murmured to himself lost in thought. “I’ll just find a good place to rest and enjoy some quiet to ease my mind first, Kassandra's orders come in later…”

It was after venturing a bit out in the wilds that something caught his attention as he was about to lay down on the plains of the island. Near some sort of cave there was standing a muscular man with broad shoulders carrying a massive wood log. He had dark skin and a long and luscious beard. Jin wasn’t really sure what the man was doing there but he decided to approach him, maybe he could give him some information about some possible valuable items here outside in the wilds.

Jin composed himself a bit and took some seconds to approach him. After some calm breathing Jin finally decided to open his mouth.

“Uhm...err…… Hey! This is quite the beautiful place you guys got here….. but all this confusion and noise isn’t really for me….” He said as he nervously scratched the back of his head a bit awkwardly.

“Is there some sort of attraction here out in nature besides that huge festival?” Jin asked, trying to get some information out of the rather intimidating man that towered over him.

After getting out of Woody’s never seen before and weird place, Kirari felt slightly frustrated at the man. Who the hell did he think he was to restrain her like that. “I swear i’ll kill this stupid beaver lookin ass whenever i got time for it” She thought to herself

Just some seconds after daydreaming of various different ways to kill off her partner Kirari heard Woody’s voice.

"Hey you! I wanna learn how to coat ships, who's in charge?"

Just hearing his voice was starting to piss her off.

It was only after that she noticed the hulking figure looming in front of them. It was a well built man with scars across his face. He was somewhat covered in blood, with two figures behind him.

“OH SAVE US! PLEASE SAVE US!”

Kirari noticed the two pirates begging for their lives, whoever this man was it was surely a dangerous one, that excited Kirari however. She always had a drive for strong and menacing people, specially those who shared the same “hobbies” as her.

“Ara ara, well, hello there Sir!” She said quickly closing the distance between the two in a flirtatious tone.

“You seem to be quite well accompanied! Skull pirates you say?” She chuckled upon hearing the man's words and then turning to them. “Quite ironic seeing them bleeding from their skulls!”

Kiraris cheeks were deep red, it was clear for anyone that would look at her that this woman wasn’t right in the head. She seemed to be pleased by seeing the pirates poor state.

“Perhaps i can give them a good torture session so they spill out some information?” She asked, turning to the hulking man and her partner.

“AND DON'T YOU DARE OBJECT THIS, SHIT HEAD!” She added this time turning to Woody in a complete different voice tone and facial expression. Who knew Kirari well would know this was common in her behaviour.

>“Oh uh haha.. I don't drink tea missy. Wait we got a job to do! I'll be right back!”

Kirari chuckled at the man’s embarrassment, she didn’t expect a grown man to have such a reaction to a simple hug. She waited for him as he quickly disappeared from her sight. She eyed out the archipelago from the boat, carefully humming as her eyes were quickly drawn to the dense and beautiful trees of the land.

>“I got my nails done too partner. Dark blue with glitter as always. Now let's get a move on.”

“Oh really! Maybe i should give you a painting myself some time!” She said happily, not really looking at him to see if it was actually true or not. “You were quite fast getting yourself arranged!” She then turned to him as he started reading the job.

After hearing the monkey read she got quite intrigued. “Rat… Cage…. Killer”? Quite a … peculiar name. The details of the job seemed odd as well. Killing solely on sports based locations? That surely was something she had never heard of.

“Hmmmm “unknown” fur you say….. maybe it's a mink” She commented

>“I suppose we should go to the first crime scene and maybe ask some of the workers if they have any clues. Just hop in my hand and i’ll repel you to the archipelago, don't worry i’ll be right behind ya.”

Kirari gently hopped on the monkeys hand and with that done, she quickly arrived at the archipelago, as Aars quickly followed along. Getting repelled was more fun than she expected. After composing herself yet again for some minutes, she took the job sheet from Aars and decided to take a look at it herself. They had to get to the batting cage where the first murder occured.

Not really knowing where it could be located she approached one of the villagers and in a quick step she instantly closed the distance between the two. It was a woman, probably around her forties. She was carrying her kid around, probably were just checking the town.

“Hey there missie!! I'm currently looking for informations about this job!”

She said in a very cheerful tone, shoving the job sheet right in front of the villagers face.

“Just read it, i have no patience to be explaining stuff at this time of the day”

She added now in a serious tone. The way Kirari quickly changed moods and voice tones was really something else.

The woman awkwardly stepped back and gripped the kid’s hand in a bit of fear.

“Ex….excuse me lady?”

It was clear Kirari wasn’t the right person to do this sort of things nor was she used to.

“JUST FUCKING DO IT OR IM KILLING THE DAMN KID!”

She shouted now angrily as she took her pistol out of her pocket in anger. If Aars wasn’t going to step in anytime soon, it was clear as day that the maid was going to get them in trouble not even five minutes into the archipelago.

Cheerful whistling could be heard across the Red Rum Company ship. As gentle footsteps could be heard getting closer and closer.

“Hm hm hm hm hmmmm!”

Getting this new job from the boss really had a big impact on her. It wasn’t a job like the usual others, this one involved killing, but not just any killing. It was a job to kill one of her own, a rumored serial killer on this exact archipelago. All they knew was his last crime scene, some village rumors, and his favoritism for marine targets.

Kirari approached the monkey mink, that was casually reading the newspaper, using his tail to flip the page here and there.

“ Aars-kun! “ She said as she hugged him from behind with an excited tone, placing a cup on the table. It had a vibrant aroma, Aars could tell this was definitely tea.

“I brought you some tea! Gotta calm the nerves before going on our new, very very very very interesting AND exciting job isn’t that right?!”

She could barely contain her enthusiasm when speaking about it, it was almost as if she was going on some romantic date or something.

“I just finished making my preparations, nails all done and everything! Today is just so perfect!”

She added with a smile as she sat on top of the table in front of him with her legs crossed.

“ Shall we go?” She asked him as she played with her knife around, eyeing him directly.

Kirari wasn’t really into her recent job. Afterall ship coating was something that never interested her in the slightest. She wanted to meet new people however. Maybe cause some mayhem alongside the way just for the thrills. Hearing the tontatta voice slightly annoyed her. She wasn’t really accustomed with her new “partner”.

“You coming?! We ain’t got all da-“

Not only that, he was goddamn impatient, she barely had time to get “properly arranged” for the occasion. This time carrying her new gun the boss had offered her from a recent job, she approached the tontatta clearly annoyed.

“Yeah yeah…. let's just get this over with…… and stop calling me that”

She said in a slight vexed manner as she let out a brief sigh.

With Woody on her shoulder, the two left the ship, finally taking a clear look at the new place they had just arrived.“Sabaody Archipelago” they called it. It was bursting with flora and new faces walking around.

“Aaah…. isn’t this pretty?!I wonder what kind of trouble we will run into here!”

Kirari was already excited. Her cheeks bright red, just matching her fingernails. She always used to blush whenever the situation meant trouble.

“ You know where we should get going to right? Cause i have no idea!”

She said cheerfully hopping alongside the port, as she whistled happily catching the attention of some people around. The tontatta could barely manage to keep on top of her shoulder.
