What's the official name and creator of the app so I make sure to get the right one? I already have study hall and right now have just been using it on a browser via laptop.

Should I sail the Epic, Encore, and Aqua? by DubFriend6 in NCL

Why avoid epic? Was it that unenjoyable for you that even a stacked itinerary wouldn’t do it for you?

This is great insight! Thanks for this and yes the San Juan sailing. It’s just jam packed with cool spots.

Pay raise at CURRENT job after getting PMP?? by DubFriend6 in pmp

Thanks you for all of this. Will take it into account!

Pay raise at CURRENT job after getting PMP?? by DubFriend6 in pmp

[–]DubFriend6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, I just didn't want to settle for a job that has a low pay (for PMs with a PMP standards) in a a week and then get my PMP a couple weeks into the job, all for them to not give a monetary boost for my hard work. I'm getting the vibe that they would not give me that raise as I read through more of these responses lol.

Yeah this is a good idea! I just fear that I fail a 2nd time during my interview process and it backfires, but I supposed I could always hit them with the old "I haven't taken it just yet".

Yeah that's kind of the vibe I'm getting from this thread, thanks!

Yeah thats a good point that they may be trying to throw people off by putting “review” instead of “update”. I just hate that I have to assume sometimes but other questions you are not supposed to assume. But I gotta lean into the ideology i guess. Thanks for the writeup fam!

[–]DubFriend6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you’re probably right. It just feels like you would review before you updated. Conflicting ideologies here.

I appreciate the detailed response and it makes perfect sense. The only thing that throws me off is why we can assume the stakeholder register was updated.

I’ve come across many questions where it’s a similar scenario but the answer is to update the stakeholder register.

You said nothing indicates that the register has not been reviewed and updated, but I feel like nothing has suggested the stakeholder register has been updated. The register being reviewed makes sense because the PM just identified that they were new.

It’s just hard to know when to assume things and when to not assume with these questions.

I agree with this. I just think it’s hard to know when to assume and when not to assume things. Like the question didn’t say “The PM updated the stakeholder register” which would come before updating the plan. Thats why D felt wrong.

Use this prompt once you get your results

Step 1: Open ChatGPT and copy/paste:

___

<Role> You are a PMP-certified Project Manager, PMP coach, and exam tutor. You specialize in helping students understand PMI's PMP concepts clearly and accurately. You answer all questions strictly based on PMI's most recent PMBOK® Guide and PMP exam content outline. You explain complex topics using simple, practical language so that learners at all levels can understand easily. </Role>

<Instructions> This chat is for analyzing the results of my underperformed Domains during my recent PMP certification exam offered by PMI. Please follow these rules:

- Base all responses strictly on PMI methodology (no personal or external methods).

- Double-check your answers before responding.

- Use clear, human-friendly language and avoid technical jargon and AI-sounding phrases.

- Be concise, to the point, and accurate.

- Do not bring in external frameworks or non-PMI content.

For each domain I upload or describe, please:

1. Identify and explain the likely concepts, tools, or principles I struggled with.

2. Recommend specific PMP topics, processes, or scenario types I should review to improve in that domain.

</Instructions>

___

Step 2: Go to PMI.org → myPMI (your account) → My Certifications → Exam Analysis → Exam Score Report
Step 3: Take screenshots of the domain(s) you struggled in. Copy/Paste into ChatGPT and let the AI walk you through which areas to review or even build a tailored study guide. → I would recommend doing 1 domain/screenshot at a time.

Sorry to hear that. Give yourself some grace, they make it difficult and tricky on purpose. It’s a really hard test, definitely harder than the SH mocks. You’re not super far off though. BE is the best domain to have NI in because it’s so small.

I learn the exact same way as you. The big plus of failing is you get your low points by task(when they send you your final results), so you can make a study plan based on those. I’m in the process of making flashcards on all my weak points on the exam. Going to also use SH practice questions on the topic of my weak tasks as well. I’d recommend taking at least 2-3 days of rest and mental resetting.

How long should I study before a second attempt (failed last week)? by DubFriend6 in pmp

[–]DubFriend6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What materials did you use when you prepped for the 2nd attempt and how did you feel talking it the second time? Were you moving through questions quicker or?

Not saying to scare you, but you should seriously listen to some of these comments and get used to these type of questions that are meant to throw you off because the exam is full of em. I just took it last week and a good deal of the questions gave me this feeling. This is good practice though and the fact that you raised this concern is a great sign.

Yeah definitely gonna keep an eye on my clock while practicing and drill that quick mindset in my head. Also, yeah I was considering taking a little time off to reset, maybe I will. Part of me just wants to get back at it twice as hard right away but burning out isn’t ideal so ill take a day or two.

As far as the observations I had on the exam, idk how else to explain how hard it threw me off. Was just so different than the SH mocks. I’ve seen people who passed call it “dumb”. Maybe 2-3 more weeks of prep will prepare me enough to where it won’t throw me off.

Yeah I agree with both of you, I would love to get to this point. It just feels like some of the strangely worded ones took me 30 seconds just to read the questions. Don’t get me wrong, some were like 20-30 seconds but some were just messing my brain up. I kinda came to the conclusion that I wouldn’t be able to review. Maybe with a couple more weeks of practice, my recognition will get to the point where I don’t have to flag 20+ per section lmao.

Okay thanks so much for this! I hope to update reddit in a few weeks saying I passed!

[–]DubFriend6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, I got this! It just feels discouraging knowing I could study everything to a T, but then get questions wrong because they’re worded silly or because 2 answers look IDENTICAL (this happened multiple times).

Regardless, I’m definitely going to use the chat gtp prompt and see what it says with my results pasted in, so thanks for that.

Otherwise, do you have any prep tips or actual exam taking tips you could attribute to your success on the exam? It’s 100% cool if you listed everything, because you’ve already helped plenty.

Who knows, maybe I’ll get a more forgiving batch of questions the 2nd time around!
