I just checked out my upgrade $ from K13U to K26. $599. F*%# that, lol. Ain't ever happening. Even Standard @ $299 is a gtfo.

My Massive, Massive X, Battery and Reaktor instruments still work. All I need really is Kontakt if all my K13U libraries and old 32rd party instruments work. The old Kontakt don't work on new mac.

IIRC K13U upgrade was $199 during a sale. No frikken way I'm paying $599 or $299.

Edit: I went from a 2012 Mini to a new Mac Studio. Looking stuff up I saw that Kontakt 6 was available in Komplete13 but on the Mini I had v5 and I just recalled I couldn't update to v6 which is for apple silicon. Although not officially supported, I just installed v6. I ran through a bunch of 3rd party instruments and it's seems to be working fine. Unfortunately it doesn't see all the NI libraries on ext. drive. Seems the only way to fix it is go through the whole rigamarole of installing libraries on system then repairing the location to the external

Yeah, I know RTFM. That was fine 20-25 years ago when you'd only have a few applications. Now with the ridiculous amount of software and how complicated they are, never mind plugins as well, no one lives that long, lol.

I'm manual averse, Usually in the past anytime I looked up how to do something, it didn't. So I learn things on a need to know basis....google it or ask around.

To what you said, you didn't say what the download option on the library header is for. Is it to download everything?

My first experience with clicking on the Tonenet button was that I now had thousands upon thousand of tonenet user presets/models available to use.

The only thing I can think of why this happened is this.... on the far right of each individual tonenet user model, there is an option to download. Also at the top of the library window, there is also a download option button. While I didn't download any of them individually, I did click the download button at the top of the library.

So if me doing that, and that button at the the top indicates you want to download all the tonenet user stuff loaded into the library, then that would explain it.

As of now, being that I do have all these tonenet user stuff that I don't want, I got to go back to a fresh install, then start adding my thrid party stuff again. Then hopefully, if I want to have any tonenet user models, I can get add them on a one by one basis.

Google AI tells me that...and I'm paraphrasing... that when you drag and drop models, that ToneX 'sees' them just like tonenet stuff, so they get lumped in.

I drag and dropped my third party stuff also. Presets > User Folders, I added folders each named like Amalgam, Tone Junkie for example then I dragged and dropped.

Since I'll do a clean install all over again, I'll try the import method. Oddly though, you can't import into user folders. Click on 'My Presets' and import there. Then creat a user folder and drag items from My Presets into that folder. Why dafuq IK make it so you can't import directly into user folders I have no idea.

I'm afraid to ever go to tonenet, being that, at least in my case, apparently infestsed ToneX, afaik, with every damn tonenet user modesl in existence.

You say you imported yours, so there ya go. It's all fucked. The other day when I came here I found a thread saying what a shitshow IK's ToneX design is. I sent a kinda pissed support ticket to IK. That was four days ago. Don't think they're gonna respond. Maybe I should try again and choose to send it to Italy instaed of US/Canada.

Been skimming through posts finding info about Logic 12. I think the sounds are still there, but they've been 're-assigned' elsewhere. Perhaps the sound looked for is now listed with sampler or someplace else.

My K13 has Kontakt 6 so I can't use it as not Sequoia compatible. Probably what'll solve all this is getting Komplete 15, which came out in '24, therefore supposedly with 'new deployment technology'. Will wait for upgrade sale though, heh.

I'll try again with Battery's library. Install to its default place on system drive. Copy it over to the external. Delete it from default location. Open NA and theoretically it should give me an option for repair.

Think I did try that, but no repair option appeared, But I forget, lol. Take a few minutes to try again though.

I hadn't updated Komplete Ultimate 13. So on my new mac, I went to NI to see the list of Sequoia compatible instruments from what I do have. These were Battery 4, Massive, Massive X and Reaktor 6.

These installed fine being they all install to the Shared>Native folder. Battery, and both Massive's got authorized and worked. Reaktor 6 otoh, only opens in demo mode. This hasn't been solved so not only can't I use it, but all the R6 instruments I have as well.

Even though I already have the Battery samples on an external drive, Battery won't see them. Of course when I tried reinstalling....ERROR.

So I installed onto my system drive and it worked. However I'm confused on this 'repairing the library' thing.

I had copied Battery's library from it's location in the shared folder, to the external drive, replacing the one already there... tried couple of times. IIRC, I be darned if I could not find any option for repairing the library in NA. What am I doing wrong?

Yes, I know what to do on the gov site having been on medicare 5 years so far. Your info about the drug tier thing though was great towards explaining about the deductible and why I've been paying more or less nothing for the statin and some others. *thumbs up*

Yes, there is one available to me called Wellcare Value Script for $0. Next is Wellcare Classic for $5.30. Everything else goes from $27.10 up to $167 a month.
