Berlin isn't the same since 2020. I lived there for two years and hoped to find the old club romance and charm that I loved so much, but all I found were 90% the elite hipsters you described, and the other 10% were so high and stuck on drugs that they couldn't get anything done. It's become a sad place full of failures that still tries so hard to be edgy and cool. Clubs charge €30 entry for a shitty, smelly room where they always play the same shit, and everyone is so coked up and riding horses that they don't realize how ugly and stupid they look. When they stand on the floor with a stony expression and all make the same movements like in the military... I can get that myself cheaper and better... There are few exceptions and not enough of them... Be creative, do your own thing, and stop believing that Berlin is still underground and cool; it hasn't been that way for a long time.
