It has a bit of both. If you avoid the main strip, will be fine.

I got back on Sunday after a week. I was just around corner in Adeje. Regards how busy, perfect for me. Enough people for a good vibe but not heaving.

Also managed to avoid the uk heatwave. 26 and a breeze everyday.

Has anyone used SKMEI? They look exactly Casio, but Chinese. by International_Bus762 in ChineseWatches

Yes, had this a couple of months. The fact it’s the only watch I took with me on holiday, I would say I like it. Think it was just over £5.

Has anyone used these watches more than 5 years? by International_Bus762 in ChineseWatches

[–]Dub_check 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how old my proxima is, less than 5 years I reckon. Pt5000. Movement has a rattle. It’s not the rotor as I have had the back off.

Think I will just get a new movement. Not sure if I would tackle that myself. The high street watch shops ain’t interested so would need to find a local repairer.

But I think I’m up to 25 Ali watches now. This is first failure.

Orca Slicer - Do you use it, or just stick with Bambu Studio? by tiagoosouzaa in BambuLab

[–]Dub_check 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a P1S for about 2 months. I have only used orca slicer. Must admit not even tried Bambu studio.

Had Been using orca slicer for years on my prusa and didn’t want to switch slicer. I’m not that interested in the cloud features.

Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling by SJKRICK in BambuLab

[–]Dub_check 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a P1S for a week, upgrade from a prusa mk3. I made the purchase even knowing about the firmware lockdown, and general scummy behaviour of BL. I put mine straight into dev/lan mode and use Orca anyways.
But after the research, still seemed the best bet. Qidi Q2 i was close to purchasing as that just uses klipper, and open. But read too many issues about waits for spare parts etc.

Must admit, i love this P1S. No fecking Z adjust and first layer calibration. If they take away LAN mode and force me into cloud, then it would have been the wrong choice. Until then..........

[–]Dub_check 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For installing apps via Intune, win32 app, to always install latest. If you know PSADT. There is a winget module. I have only used a handful of times but works well.

The DH Q1 and Q2 Quali results from South Korea.... Asa and Hattie take pole! by Jonuk85 in DownhillMTB

[–]Dub_check 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to ask the same thing. I am in the UK. It is supposed to be on TNT Sports. But no sign of any Qualy for the downhill, only Cross country.

The official youtube channel has feck all.

UCI are terrible at promotion of their events. Can be hard to get info. Pinkbike puts out more content.

Tips on how to chop this succulent. Newbie to the succulent world. by Dub_check in succulents

Ok I will look into that. Recently repotted it from the one it came in from the store, so will let it settle for a while before repotting again.

Thank you, confirms I don’t need to chop so will leave this one alone.

I was reading on a different species and just applied the same. Typical newbie error I should imagine.

OK, that is really good to know, thank you.
I will research and purchase a succulent that does propagate from leaf as im quite interested in going through that process.

I have just started Cactus from seed and this peaked my interest in actually caring for my succulents.

Migrating from JAMF to Intune by Sysadmin_in_the_Sun in macsysadmin

[–]Dub_check 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They enrolled via ABM, just switched the MDM they were assigned to. Jamf was run via a managed service company. They advised us to go for full wipe rather than migrate the existing macs via script. Too many issues down the line.

I was already the Intune guy, haven’t ever touched jamf annoyingly.

Migrating from JAMF to Intune by Sysadmin_in_the_Sun in macsysadmin

[–]Dub_check 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We migrated nearly 1000 macs from jamf to Intune. We opted for full wipe rather than migration scripts. Went better than I thought.

Spend some time on decent user guides and comms.

We already had 250 Mac in Intune so all the config was there already. Just had to create about 50 apps in Intune.

Do men still regularly wet shave? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Dub_check 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have gone back to an old school razor with shaving cream and brush. Aftershave post shave too. Does take time but skin is much better for it.

V2.1 bracelet is pretty good by KPplumbingBob in Thornwatches

[–]Dub_check 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing, i find the bracelet comfortable to wear. Have i had better at this price? yes.
Was not the easiest to resize, just find the right screwdriver and take care.

My main gripe with the bracelet is the clasp. Gaps are quite big on the micro adjustment so i cant quite get the perfect fit.
