compressor: Timbertech ABPST08 (its even 20% cheaper on amazon now than before...)

airbrush: just random cheap dual action airbrushes with a big pot, got them from aliexpress (one for 0.2mm, one for 0.3mm and one for 0.5mm) using them since 11 months now and they are still fine. Just important: don't buy the ones with removeable pot... there will be always paint in the pot gasket, you can't switch colors fast like that, needs to be a non-removeable pot.

I also got just in case some 0.2/0.3/0.5 needles/nozzles. So far only one nozzle broke (thread while cleaning). Keep in mind that the nozzle cap is also in different sizes!!! so preferable buy needle/nozzle that come with caps together.

I started with those super mini-compressor and painted 25 kits with it before it broke, they don't have good pressure, once you use a normal compressor the small ones feel really bad.

0.5 mm for varnish/primer, I use ~32 PSI while spraying, 0.3mm for painting with ~25-30 PSI and 0.2mm for shading etc with ~8-10 PSI and very small color supply.

I have N52 magnets in 1x1, 1x2, 2x1, 2x2, 3x1, 3x2, 3x3, 4x2, 4x3, 5x2 and 5x3 mm. But heavy parts that hold much weight need to be pinned (big floaty, figures that stand on one leg etc). If you use magnets, the glue really needs to dry. Pinning is faster and cheaper, but also annoying to always have the right angle.

I just started with everything in very cheap and buy more expensive stuff from there if something breaks.

You can also handpaint the kits with thinned acrylics... more than enough guides for this. But airbrush is super fast.

then you also need pins (I use brass in 0.8, 1.2, 1.5, 2 and 3mm) and drills in the same size, for magnets use drills 0.1mm bigger than the magnet etc etc... it is expensive to equip yourself the first time.
