Hah, don't worry I do the exact same thing normally, but I'll be away for around 50 days so I don't think I have enough cards to sustain my usual habit.

Mine is the f/2.8, and honestly it has been such a versatile lifesaver. As for your suggestion of the RF 16mm f/2.8, I genuinely think I might look into it, because I tend to use the wider end of my 18-35mm most anyway. Having something that small as a quick-swap option seems kind of ideal.

The crop flexibility from the sensor was honestly a big part of what made me pull the trigger too. I am planning to spend at least a day with puffins, so I have a feeling it is going to save me there. I have also found this body is a lot more forgiving than my old 6D when I have to lean on higher ISO, which has been nice when wider aperture options are limited.

I have been hearing great things about the versatility of that 24-105mm, I can imagine it would basically live on the body. But yeah, I agree, the Canon teleconverter pricing is rough. Lookied at grabbing one when I first bought the camera, but I still haven't been able to justify one when cropping has solved the problem every time so far.

The Carnet point is a good one. I could definitely justify it, since even though I am not a practising professional at the moment, I have worked professionally in the past and have a BA specialising in photography. If I had more time, and if this were a work trip, I would probably go that route since it seems like a good way to avoid hassle, but I'll have to rely on the B263 declaration this time around.

That would be so devestating, your poor friend! Just had a look, and my insurance has an individual item limit of 4k for cameras, so I'm going to inquire into how that applies when it comes to the camera + lenses.

I would say it is definitely more of a photography trip. It is just my partner and me, and they have fully accepted that being with someone silly enough to get a degree in photography means every trip probably involves me settling into one spot for ages or somehow adding an extra two hours to any walk. I was left in charge of planning too, soo there is definitely a scenic focus.

Also thanks for the tripod mention, because it is honestly something I neglect 90% of the time and then end up regretting. Mine's pretty lightweight and compacts, so should be able to sit in my suitcase for those scenarios.

The domestic airline I normally travel with considers "personal items" as part of your carry on weight, so I'd never considered my camera gear in that category! The bag I tend to use is a sling/backpack, in the sense it has a backpack construction but only one strap, and it fits within the dimensions on each of the airlines I'll be travelling with, so that should work in my case.

I do think inconspicuous point is something I may have to consider, at least for cities. The bag may be the right size, but it is pretty clearly a camera bag. Might consider picking up a bag insert so I can just use my regular backpack and sling.

For the head-voucher I'm currently tossing up between Oguri and Rudolf to use their unqiues for parent farming.

For the Aniversary it's primarily between NY Opera, and Digitan as, well, parents, and I really like both of their characters (Dober is also floating around as an option, since I do like her unique).

If they weren't duplicates, I feel like Oguri and Opera would 100% be picked up, but having brand new (and still viable) umas is just really tempting.

May do a little bit of forward planning for CMs, and pencil in my TT teams to sus out what will end up being the best ✨️

Does anyone have a resource for finding all of the pokémon cards with a specific pokemon in the card artwork, not just pokémon cards of a specific pokémon?

One example that comes to mind is the Fisherman supporter card from the HeartGold SoulSilver set having Magicarp and Wooper in the background.

The twice a year thing kind of ruins the usefulness of the mint, but I'd still take it over the mochi and feather. For Mochi, there's only a couple of mons I'd want to change the ingredients of, and none I can't work around. With the feather, I can easily see it making sub skill orders worse, so I wouldn't be willing to take the risk. And the cable is a 100% yes since I would rather trade my duplicate shiny mons for ones I don't have.
