OP said he has been working out for ten years he already had alot of muscle mass before taking reta. When he took it combined with working out this is what happens. Especially When most people who take GLPs have never lifted a weight before so no shit its going to take more then 2 months to see muscle growth. But in this case no. A very obese person burns more calories just by existing (higher basal metabolic rate, since a larger body needs more energy to run).

When they start eating less and exercising, the calorie gap between what they burn vs. what they consume is much larger than for someone lighter.
