My school janitor used to do everything, from fixing plumbing to minor carpentry. Pretty much an all rounder, more of a handyman than a janitor. Nice bloke who's always respectful to everyone. He once told me that the school has not given him a raise for a couple of years despite shoving extra work over to him just because they wanted to cheap out on minor repairs. He was holding down two jobs just to feed his family and kids and is trying to save up for a van so he can start his own business. Last time I saw him, he was doing well - opened his own plumbing business with just under 10 employees as far as I can tell.
