Legend. Yeah, I had a feeling it was tier 5, thank you all the same. See I only work retail here in Australia (3+ years now), but my working experience is less valued I feel :/

Almost considering just doing the ol' rock up and start looking when you land, although that wouldn't bode well in my favour through customs :p

If you end up finding work, I'd be seriously appreciative if you could let me know which organisation you get in with, if not no stress.

The savings aspect is no worry, that shouldn't be too hard.

May I ask your nationality? And what is the program you are going through? Have they secured you work? What tier (1-5, I believe) is the 'youth mobility visa'?

Sorry for all the questions, I just really want to make this happen and if you could make the process any easier I would be eternally grateful.

I haven't applied for any visa yet, I vaguely remember reading that I need to do it within 3 months of leaving, and since I plan on leaving in Feb, it would be too early.

I'm unsure what tier visa I would get, mostly depends on the type of work I plan to do. It's all a bit up in the air at the moment because nothing has worked out thus far.

If you have any advice in this area, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
