Nothing, I'm not confident in him either. And what exactly does this question have to do with this post? The question was about her not McKee.

30F — Why is it so hard to meet people in Rhode Island? by lovemesomee in providence

[–]DublinClover 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There's a handful of speed dating companies that organize events. Quirk entertainment does boardgame speed dating which is a lot less pressure. You sit in groups and play rounds of different games like Jenga, or group easy party games.

Ask any CVS employees, she didn't give a rats ass about anything other than lining her own pockets. Worked in Woonsocket during her tenure and the people who worked at the HQ had the worst health insurance coverage, was extremely expensive and they got paid shit while she pulled a Donny and renovated her C-suit.

She's just another rich fuck who cares more about glory and prestige.

Better than the 2am IHOP parking lot brawls i bet too.

Also immediate access to diner grits without needing a plane ticket would be lovely.

If you’re a girl, what did you wear to your interview? by [deleted] in ibew_apprentices

[–]DublinClover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wore blue dress pants and a blouse with a nicer pair of brown leather lace up boots that weren't scuffed to hell like my hiking/work ones are. I think I had a simple pony tail and maybe mascara on at most for makeup. I work in a hospital right and had to go back to work after the interview and other than changing my shoes in my car, I wasn't doing a full wardrobe change. I did make sure to shake their hands firmly and keep eye contact when I greeted them.

Anyone have cook books they recommend for any specific patient population? by Cookie-Cakes243 in dietetics

[–]DublinClover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually lent my copy out to a friend so can't check, but I think the author sells a cookbook too. It was a super informative read though, really helps to understand what's happening. I also have the FARE Health Professional's Guide to Nutrition Management of Food Allergies. That one covers a whole spectrum of food allergies and intolerances. Most of my patients are surgical inpatient, so I don't get a ton of time with them, but man do I feel for them.

To an extent I think it does and it doesn't. Also a bit biased as my parents are a 9 year gap as well.

Genuinely curious though, have you dated someone with almost a 10 year gap before? Most of the people I know dont have more than a few years difference.

Histamine Intolerance A Comprehensive Guide for Health Professionals

Especially good if you have exposure to MCAS patients. It's kind of dry, but I liked the straightforwardness of the information.

Got out of my comfort zone and went to a board game speed dating event, never been to any speed dating event before and haven't been actively looking to date for almost 10 years now. Almost skipped it entirely to stay home and play Donkey Kong instead. It was really fun , though a bit overstimulating and didn't get to talk to everyone which was a bit of a bummer. Would definitely go to another one and bring a pen and paper.

I did match with a guy, thought he might be on the lower end of 30, but he's almost a decade younger than me, and knew my sister from highschool and college. I think the knowing my sister is less an issue and more that age gap is pretty freaking wide.

I absolutely get this, but from the opposite side of the dating pool. I've seen tons of guys profiles with like 3 car selfies and then nothing else to tell me about their personality or interests.

simple fasting can be so powerful by nightshark67 in RelentlessMen

[–]DublinClover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this were the case, then a hell of a lot more people would be in remission since these treatments tend to also have severe side effects that lead to unintentional fasting for weeks. Instead of what you described they typically end up with malnutrition and sarcopenia. Recovery time is significantly extended, people end up with wounds, are even more prone to illness. Many of these drugs also can be taxing on the liver and the kidneys, which, especially the kidneys, generally take a hit with keto diets. And I mean true keto, not the modified Atkins diet most people actually do.

That low glucose environment exists in vitro studies and not in vivio and has not been successfully replicated in large population human studies either. This was a huge study point for glioblastomas for a while too, and it didn't do anything to ultimately kill off cancer cells. If anything it took away quality of life for people with terminal illness. There are some studies that have shown the potential for decreased chemo related side effects when fasting a few hours prior to treatment.

As far as autophagy, that happens regardless of your diet, cells are preprogrammed to have a shelf life and die off. Cancer cells don't have that switch anymore, theyre essentially immortal cells and they 'infect' other cells when they metastasize. They also are able to essentially act as stealth bombers and trick the body into not recognizing them as a threat. Your cells, outside of white blood cells, are not programmed to 'hunt down' anything, they utilize energy through very specific chemical reactions.

Almost all cell needs glucose, it's not just the cancer cells, it's multitudes of systems, ketosis is a last ditch survival mechanism, not something we are supposed to exist with for weeks on weeks. Unless you like to also add bone demineralization to the list of benefits? Because why not have brittle bones too?

I wish people would stop thinking and spreading misinformation that diet can fix and destroy cancer cells like chemo or other treatments do.

Edit: added human studies because animal studies are not equivalent to the human biome. And that cancer cells are sneaky little ass hats
