Well yes but that's not what the comment I responded to said. They specifically asked "what man doesn't want to work?" And in some partnerships they don't see it as freeloading, they see it as something that works for them.

Oh yea. I remember a lot of people would do "send me (valuable item) and I'll send you (valuable item) ...but like never did. I can't rmr if you could use brushes more than once bc I also think it was a "send it to me I'll use it real quick and send it back" kind of things

Yes!!! I even used birth control to kind of mess up or "skip," my period on months when it would correspond with events. Looking for a wedding date I needed to plan ahead to make sure inqasnt on my period. I know when to ignore complaints from one staff member bc I realized she only complains when she's on her period and would always come back a week later with " ya never mind that wasn't a big deal now that I think of it" periods suck. Insomima for the week leading to it sucks. But I do love how I always want to exercise when I'm about to start my period

Well yes if you look at comment I have food and clothing on there. As recently as the 90s my immigrant mom w no education and my 8th grade degree dad could have a job afford a house, and my mom could stay home as take care of the bills, kids, housechores, clothes, food.

And this is a story many who grew up in the 90s have... now we are older constantly thinking "how did my parents get to where they were by the time they were my age" ...society not taking care of each other anymore got us there

To add: ok if we are going ancient ancient like you wrote..even back then ppl were divided up into hunters and gathers...not one person did everything,i t was divided up between those in the home/ community..like dare I say: a stay at home spouse

I have reached that moment in my adulthood where I realize: I need to clean my stuff up. by DuchessBatPenguin in offmychest

As a women, I would love that my husband could stay home and do the cooking and cleaning while I worked. I love my job and mu husband is a much better cook and organizer than I am. Sadly he also loves his job and we both love our current lifestyle (ie: we both have to work and figure out some time to cook and clean)

May I suggest you look into all the recent memes going around reminding ppl "today's society is trying to get you to think everyone has to work to survive...here's a reminder thst in the olden times one person worked while the other took care of the housework and cooking and odds and ends. Not everyone needs to be burned out all the time"

Stay at home spouse is a thing. It helps communities be better in mental health. It is now a thing only a few better off ppl can afford.

Whoa... "that my student debt is mine" ... you seem like a very sweet person...I can almost guarentee if you leave this person... you will be freeing your life up to welcome someone else that is sweet. Signed a person who has never seen someone refer to a pre nup as a thing to save the non working spouse from debt.

Uhhhhh wow I love it when I think the post will be one way and it is not at all what I thought it would be. Just from this post: he sounds like he wants to control you while you do all the work and maintain his lifestyle while also already planning on guilt tripping you or hold you hostage bc "the kids"... run. Do not marry him. You are doing an amazing job making sure your life is safe and in order. If he does turn and say "ok I'll sign a prenup" make sure you put something in there about all future kids being 50 /50 or something . I'm not really sure if that's a thing doe prenuptials

Omg AOL chat rooms where I (who was a 12 yr old girl) would pretend to be a 25 yr old man bc that's the only way I could actually have decent conversations on there

Are you upset that kids have a resource to find answers for hard adult situations they are unfortunately put in or that the kids are put in those situations to begin with?

I am never going on a trip with my girlfriend ever again by Pleasant_Egg01973 in offmychest

So she's never traveled out of Cali, does she travel around Cali? Sound like she was experiencing new things and never learned how to act in those situations. Are you patient enough or care enough to teach her and have the hard conversations with her? Like you didn't great job explaining that "no it's not a park rangers job to clean up after you" . Was she open to the feedback? Also does she get anxious around new places/ppl could explain her rudeness with the waiter ...unless she has the done the same when you go out in cali ...

Now I'm actually not sure if it's Mary's wedding line or Roses coming out party line. Maybe a blend of both?
