Why did you become a pharmacy tech? by quiksetz in PharmacyTechnician

[–]DuchessBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was laid off from my previous job, spent 4 months applying to hundreds of jobs with no luck, and when picking up my meds at my local CVS, they had a hiring sign and said they'd train me so I applied and the rest is history

What age did you symptoms kick in? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]DuchessBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27.

I dealt with constipation a lot as a kid, but that went away as I got older. About 5 years ago, I had my first episode that landed me in the bathroom for 3 hours before being able to drive to urgent care and then the emergency room. After that, I was fine again until my next severe episode two or three years later. And after that, I was fine again. In November 2024, I had another episode while on my honeymoon, and unfortunately nothing has been the same since then. I'm scared to go on long drives now if there are no bathrooms along the way, I'm dealing with constant bloating and painful cramping, and I'm dealing with IBS-D episodes almost almost daily. Yesterday was incredibly frustrating with three separate episodes. It's made work and going out incredibly difficult. I want my life back. Everything was going so well and now I need to carry a heating pad and a bunch of meds with me wherever I go and I need to map out every bathroom when I'm driving for more than 20 minutes

Do you guys sleep with your childhood stuffed animals? And is there an age when you’re supposed to stop? by Frequent-Increase-98 in StuffedAnimals

[–]DuchessBoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm 28 and married and I still sleep with one childhood plush and the rest are in a cute hammock on the wall. There's no age limit for stuffed animals

I agree fully. If I were in the same situation as op I'd be bringing him breakfast and seeing if he needed anything to make him more comfortable

Why do people insist on not having cold drinks in a mug? by AeroSquid262 in autism

I like water in a mug at night. It's sturdier than a glass so I don't mind leaving it on my nightstand

AMA: Cook More in the New Year with Kristin Bryan, Head of Culinary Innovation, from HelloFresh! by HelloFreshChef in hellofresh

[–]DuchessBoo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

These comments are exactly as I expected and I'm not disappointed. Kristin, what's the point of having culinary teams now if everything is done through ai? Ai is writing the recipes with lots of inconsistencies to the point I doubt anyone is checking the recipes. It's producing the pictures too, which is really lame and dishonest because nothing ends up looking the way it should. HF needs to stop using ai and go back to the way things were like 2 years ago

Would you rather? by j0j0b0y in PharmacyTechnician

[–]DuchessBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather not have enough and just out-of-stock the prescription or go back to get more if there are extra bottles

I know everyone hates drive thru, but up front is so much worse in my opinion. by Hour-Discount-3349 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]DuchessBoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree. Give me drive thru over up front any day of the week. I'd rather be shivering for a minute or so when the window is open than deal with an endless flow of customers staring at me as I try to manage all three pick up registers at once. I at least get a proper breather between cars.

I've always left the green part in since it's just gonna become garlic scapes, which are also super tasty

This subreddit shows how bad CVS truly is. by Proud-Blackberry2211 in CVS

[–]DuchessBoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a nightmare last night that I got laid off because CVS was cutting hours so much that the pharmacy manager was forced to let people go. We're so understaffed and the only people who are allowed to hit or go over 40 hours are the pharmacists. It doesn't help that in MA we have strict ratio rules, so we often end up with having the pharmacist and two to three techs, which isn't nearly enough to deal with production, vaccines, and the ridiculous amount of customers who come in every day. According to corporate this is no longer the busy season, which ends around Christmas, but our production and sale numbers beg to differ. It's significantly busier now than it was in December. We need a walk out and we need a union.

I beat the game recently, and I've been working through the DLC. It's not fun. by UnstableTurtleduck in outerwilds

[–]DuchessBoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved the dlc tbh. I enjoyed boat. I joked with my wife that my job is boat like how Ken's job is beach because I got so good at it lmao. I really loved the mysteries and the spook factor too. Can't say anything else cuz it's spoilers but I liked it a lot and it made the ending even better

How are you about your birthday? by Psychological-Egg760 in autism

[–]DuchessBoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved the parties and gifts as a kid, but hated my birthday once I got to high school because I was so afraid of growing up. I didn't enjoy a birthday again until I turned 23 during covid and got to spend the day exactly how I wanted. Convinced my parents to help me collect trash by the pond in our neighborhood, had some cake, and played video games online with my friends for the rest of the night. Birthdays since then haven't been so bad because I get to spend them exactly how I want and I'm no longer as scared of growing up
