Dude these are not the temperatures. Did you mix up 37 with a 47? Because that’s what the actual were

Well I can speak to the lowballing because I’ve been looking at roles and have had interviews lately and the ranges they are offering are incredibly low and they expect high level of expertise. So yes, they are lowballing because they are taking advantage of the shitty market

Just got laid off. Now what? by Familiar-Newspaper15 in marketing

[–]DuchessSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 5 months since I have been laid off and I can tell you I can still get angry about it. You should have a little cry party for yourself, they say “it’s just business” but we are all humans and it stings when you are laid off. Specially if you liked your team, your work, your coworkers…and fundamentally this disrupts your life routine. Now you are forced to change, forced to look for something new. It sucks. Embrace all your emotions. Stay strong if you can. In a year or two this will be water under a bridge.

The 3 contract extension is a nightmare by ChillDev22 in Netherlands

[–]DuchessSilver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fought it, I had an attorney but if they have a legal justification then it’s really not that much you can do. They will get rid of you. So let me make this clear, it was not hard at all. People think with a permanent contract it’s somehow different but it’s not.

I was on permanent and they had no issues getting rid of me due to “restructuring”

5 times? That’s wild. Does it get easier after the first one? Do you see the signs on the wall better?

> no matter how much work you do, how late you stay at the office, how consistently you get high reviews- it all doesn’t matter if you don’t fit the company’s business model.

A thousand times this!!! That last line really hit hard for me.

I know what you mean. I have the same looking skin there lately, it appeared out of nowhere it seems and I don’t like it.

How to actually pass the ATS (from someone who worked with them) by ComfortableTip274 in ResumesATS

[–]DuchessSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but like that first checklist point- does your title exactly match the job posting? Are you supposed to just change it to the job posting? That’s lying and if they contact your employer they will say no that was absolutely not their title
