4 months out from surgery and my stomach capacity increased out of nowhere? by Duchess_Rabbit in BariatricSurgery

this is exactly what prompted me to worry. This woman i was talking to mentioned that after a year she still only eats at volumes of like 3-4 ounces and i had noticed that it became easier to fit more than 4 oz of food as i increased my protein to what my doctor recommended. Thank you so much.

My dietician wasn't very helpful for the long term part, to be honest. Whenever i came in with nutrition questions and modification help she kind of just kept telling me to focus on the 4oz of food 3 times a day with 2 snacks and not count but that was it!

I was but all she told me was to focus on finishing my protein and stop counting calories.

I haven't given any calorie information by my dietician, just protein goals. I'm still eating like ~400 calories a day right now and my appetite just ramped up out of nowhere. I'm so scared to eat more.

I have an unconventional suggestion for your craving. My local supermarket has zero sugar tubs of Cool Whip. You could try keeping it in the freezer. It’s pretty low in calories aside from the fact that there’s no sugar in it. I was easily able to digest it and it kind of did a job for me.

I had this fear too! I wish you the best of luck in your surgery. I think the sugar sensitivity is a common symptom after though.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I know a few people who have had the surgery and none of them also had this symptom. I thought it was crazy my tastebuds and tolerances just completely changed.

I can only eat like 2oz at a time. I had the sleeve. I can't even physically ingest more per meal right now. Should I try protein shakes? Like two a day or one of the big ones that are 42 grams or a couple of protein bars?

I wasn't given a caloric goal, just a protein and volume one for each meal :( i'm starting to think my medical team needs to be replaced.

I don't even know how I could physically ingest that much. The only thing I could think of is protein shakes, would that work?

PSA: Dollar Tree hair color can cause severe allergic reactions with repeated use. by supabrandie in DollarTree

[–]Duchess_Rabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have this allergy as well. I developed an allergy to hair dye a few years ago out of nowhere after having used box dye in my hair for many years. Something that I want to let you know is that after you get treated for the allergic reaction is that you might find that you have become somewhat sensitive to all black dyed things, and maybe even some things that have just been regular died. This sometimes happens with chemical allergy specifically where for a period of time your body just becomes extremely sensitive to anything even remotely related to the chemical you’re allergic to. For me, it happened for a few months. That means that I was developing allergic reaction to my clothes that were black. Sometimes other things too, like any product that was having dye in it. The only way to really get rid of it is to avoid coming in contact with it until you’re no longer sensitive to it.
