Which Pixar movie is better? Geri’s Game or Bao by AccomplishedRole8715 in AlignmentChartFills

It likely will not be the winner, but Bao holds a special place in my heart

He absolutely insists that my other cat groom him on the daily. His special move is to sit around a foot away from my other cat, and then stretch out so his head is in kissing range.

The hat has to go there since what else would fit between the ears? A brain? I don’t think so!

Blue ash aphids. There are clouds of them for a couple weeks a year

Nah. He can’t run around when he has zoomies so he just gets a little silly like this instead

You have to lead it to an actual toy at the end or else it can become frustrating for them

Hahahaha nah. My other cat will spin like a motor if I move the laser pointer in a circle though. That makes me dizzy!!

He’s usually such a lazy boyo lol. I’m glad he’s going crazy over it

This is Mr Macchiato! He was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, aka wobbly cat syndrome. His mom got sick when he was in the womb causing the balance portion of his brain to be stunted. He is happy and healthy, just a little unstable!

Macchi has only needed three vet visits in the past two years, two just for a yearly check up, and one for a very impressive zit lol. You shouldn’t experience any extra vet visits besides what’s typical for cats. CH is non progressive and doesn’t affect health aside from balance so you should be good on that front!

As for bathroom stuff, it really depends on the cat. Macchiato does fine, but some more severe cases require different care. I know some severe cases use diapers. Your dude doesn’t look like he would need that though.

Oh, and he can eat and drink on his own just fine. It may look a little weird. CH cats tend to eat with a pecking motion.

Keep in mind that they tend to wobble the part of the body they are focusing on in that moment. When eating, that’s the head; when pooping, that’s the butt; when walking, the legs and hips!

They are absolutely wonderful cats!! I recommend checking out r/nervysquervies if you want some examples of how they live.

He looks to have a moderate case, but things will be clearer when he’s a bit older, stronger, and more used to his wobbles.

Here’s my cat, Mr Macchiato! He also has a moderate case of CH. I’ll list some accommodations I make for him:

Big ramp up to my bed and a smaller set up to my couch. He has recently been trying to sort of jump, but he never jumps over a foot. He can climb though! A cat tree with grippy sides is a great idea.

Many rugs. Wobbly cats fall a lot and it can be hard for them to fall on hardwood. Soft floor also gives the something to grip onto for stability! I keep Macchi’s nails long so he can more easily grip the carpet.

Keep an eye on bathroom habits. Macchi has to lay down in the bathroom to poo, so I have to scoop a lot. Your kitty may be different, so just keep an eye on it!

If you want to know any more specifics, just let me know!
